It should not come to any Nigerian, as a surprise that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is calling the shots as far as the political terrain of Nigeria is concerned now. However, the leader of the APC and the president, Muhammadu Buhari may surprise Nigerians, by becoming the first democratically elected president not to contest for a second term in office. Some of the Igbo sons and daughter below are potential presidential material in case President Buhari decides to anoint someone from the Southeastern part of the country

Distraction from the ongoing peaceful and democratic agitation in former Eastern Nigeria.

1. Buhari will run for a second term. And win.
2. Buhari will NOT hand over to a people he treats with utter contempt.

An unneccesary distraction from a bigger goal. Who presidency don help? see hausa see almajiri, see yoruba see beggars.
Again who presidency don help? As big as yoruba with more than 50 million people only one yoruba man have ever been president in the last 50 years. That means the chance of a yoruba youth ever becoming president in the next 50 years is 1/50 million and it's even getting slimmer by the day as the East will never vote a yoruba since they've sworn never to vote an Easterner, while the north will always vote northerners as long as an hausa/fulani stands election, so where will yorubas get their votes?

Yet they are shouting "one nigeria" up and down like mad men. Dem go hear wehn! the north must rule for as long as nigeria exist. The East is no longer interested in the presidency of an unworkable zoo.
we will give u igbo presidency dt is wht u wnt instead,bt we are nt happi wit d way u distcracting us wit ur elusive biafra dt a fine general like iffiong announces it death more dan forthy eight year ago,we will consider igbo presidency is a pmise

Joke of the century

No single igbo man can become president of this country on or before 2027

When buhari complete 8years, he would handover to a yoruba man. And the minimum the yoruba president would spend is 4yrs and he would handover back to the hausaman

Una never see anything

Sebi na biafra Una want

There is no Igbo Presidency 2019. The Northwest has to complete their 8 to 12 years as a result of Jonathan's distortion after which very likely Rochas Okorocha or Abagworo emerges 2023 or 2027.

The North and to a lesser extent Southwest determines who rules Nigeria because of high population advantage.

What is good for the igbo is Biafra. There is no place like home. To them better to serve in Biafra than to reign in Nigeria

I don't think the igbos want the presidency. they want biafuru. let's give it to them via a referendum abeg.

unfortunately the people agitating for this biabia lack finesse and decorum. na so so gra gra.

get your senators to lobby their mates to include referendum act in the constitution and you are well on your way.

meanwhile, no igbo person can become the president of Nigeria in the next 500 years.

no be curse, it's just the way it is.
It's comments like this from illiterate and senseless bigots like you that fan the embers of hate and violence in Nigeria. People like you are better managed in the zoo where your likes are kept

Though, these guys chances are slim. If igbos were to sit down and chose,am sure they'll want to put the best of the best forward. Hence,I will go with men like Osita Chidoka. He'll make us proud before the whole nation.
But if we want the kind of candidate that will make the whole nation swear against our ever ruling again, then we'll put Rochas Okorocha forward(aka nwokem, ima onye mbu?)

But personally,I believe that the men of south extraction who will rule Nigeria may not even be among this crop of these ones we see on Tv now.
You are wrong, the igbo i know will never support the best, they prefer to go for somebody that has lot of money and support their biafra struggle but no chance of winning the election, they are clueless politically

Igbos who will be president with only the votes of some south south and south east only. With the way the igbos abuse yorubas and northerners?
Don't deceive yourself thinking that the Igbos have problem with Northerners. Igbos may not like Buhari for obvious reasons, but not the whole northerners. I can still remember that the Igbos voted for Yar Adua very well. The only people the Igbos may likely find it difficult to vote for is the yorubas. Igbos will always choose a northerner over a Yoruba candidate

I'm a. Yoruba man but a strong supporter of the igbos in actualng Biafra. Nigeria is a market for fraudulent politicians. I don't mind if the nigeria scatter into 20 nations. Mtcheeeew.

I will vote for an ibo man if he promises to actualise biafra.

Sometimes I just wonder how many dimwits are on this forum I wanted to include the op but let me just put it plain and simple.

Number 1.. Igbos have already gotten the share of that long time ago, Nnamdi azikiwe who was a ceremonial president then opted for one Nigeria but we all know how politics played into the whole deal therefore bringing up crisis in the mid 60s.

Number 2. Aguiyi ironsi took over the mantle of leadership, and made Nigerian government a federal system of government after the ill conceived coup, before he met his untimely death.

Number 3. Ojukwu attempted a secession of igbos after the pogroms which led to the Nigeria - Biafra civil war...

Finally after the war igbos were reabsorbed back into Nigeria, without no compensations, no plan of rebuilding the southeast and discrimination into any government position. If not for natural resources and hard work the southeast would have been extinct from Nigeria. Igbos keep clamouring for a state of equality in Nigeria which has been denied to them for a very long time thus fueling their agitation for Biafra..

Conclusion is not about presidency, because majority of igbos ain't interested in that position, like someone said here "who presidency don help" Hausa Fulani have dominated the affairs of this nation for more than 50yrs but yet Nigeria still remains a shithole even their Yoruba counterparts too. Where's Nigeria at the global ranking we still remain the least, after 50 yrs of independence we cannot boast of 24hrs light, good infrastructure etc...
Presidency from any zone is irrelevant . What we need is Unity, which unfortunately I don't think I can witness in my life time as long as Nigeria is concerned... sad unless a miracle
