Just watch and see how FCC will deny his sorry asş.

Buhari should order the sack of all 909 staff that were secretly recruited and begin a fresh recruitment process which should be handled by an independent consultant.

Impossicant!!! This is naija o.

Almost all the people recruited are buhari relatives, atiku's children and relatives, inspector general of police children and children of other top apc chieftains. And you expect buhari to hear you from nairaland? cheesy

Please be true to urself, isn't that corruption? grin

And the beneficiaries of this targeted recruitment of specialist are children of Atiku, IGP, Dambazau and other influential politicians. The children of people without political influence are not specialist and can't work in CBN. The CBN director of communication must think Nigerians are stupid. This cheap attempt at damage control is arrant nonsense and dead on arrival.

DONSMITH123:
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday sent former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro back to Kuje prison, having adjourned the consideration of his application for bail till tomorrow, Thursday.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had on Monday arraigned Moro alongside a former Director in the Ministry, F.O. Alayebami and former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Anastasia Daniel Nwobia on an 11 count charge bordering on complicity in a N676m immigration recruitment scam.

The presiding judge, Justice Anwuli Chikere had, during the last sitting of the court, remanded Moro in Prison pending the consideration of his application for bail, while the 2nd defendant, Mrs. Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia, was granted administrative bail on the ground that she is currently nursing a baby. The case was then adjourned to today, Wednesday.

In her ruling on Wednesday, Justice Chekere held that Moro and the former Deputy Director in the Ministry, F.O.Alayebami be sent back to Kuje prison while Daniel-Nwobia remain on the administrative bail the court earlier granted her.

This is the kind of topical issue one would expect articles be based on! cool

The elites bastardized the educational standards, sent their kids abroad & they turned to SPECIALIST.. meanwhile children of the poor with better grades & competence are "advised" to go into farming & not depend on white collar Jobs!!

Atiku has a million companies but still had his daughter take food out the mouth of 11 people, ( 1 direct employee+ 10 dependants) likewise Ibe Kachikwu that is well positioned to get his son a job in the private sector!!

These elites are "united" now & will only be "divided" when the time to exploit our differences for their selfish motives crop up!!

Youths of Naija won't create # about this, the commonsense senator will pretend to be in coma but will suddenly come alive when it's to do with destructive & profitless politicking!!

I really need to buy you a drink soon.
That recruitment exercise just took a little bit of credibility from this government. If the President see nothing wrong with the process and do nothing about it, then he will be seen as endorsing the sham.

Am fast losing hope on this Government. How can a Government which sacked DSS that had nearly completed their training and also sack immigration cadets cos they believe their recruitment was fraudulent now recruit VIPs into CBN.
If they had recalled those sacked cadets and DSS trainings I won't mind. As I type this my younger bro who left a promising job with with a Federal Higher institution for the Immigration is seriously fraustrated at home now.
I pity the young man every day of my life and wished I never advised him to leave his old job even though the ay was small.
That's just one, only God knows how others will be feeling now.

It is normal in politics ,dont forget all these politicians are friends, all their quarrels is only politics and even during the time of gej ,tinubu got some concessions from dizeani .so this kind of thing is normal irrespective of party affiliations . There one thing politicians will not play politics with and that is their children

You need to see the distribution before talking. Katsina which is Buhari's state has one of the least number compared to the Delta state and the whole of south south state and south east states.

You need to also know that the recruitment happened between June 2014 and February 2015. Was Buhari president then? This was one of the atrocities of PDP

The Central Bank of Nigeria has said it opted for a secret process of hiring new staff in the past two years because the bank was doing “targeted recruitment”.
The apex bank is at the centre of a recruitment scandal exposed by two newspapers.

A news report published Wednesday by Daily Trust, said the CBN secretly recruited 909 staff between June 2014 and February 2015, in violation of due process and federal character principles.

The report followed a news story by news website, SaharaReporters, on Tuesday, showing how children and relatives of some influential Nigerians, including a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, were dubiously and secretly hired by the CBN.

The CBN’s acting Director of Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor, told PREMIUM TIMES that the bank did nothing illegal or wrong in hiring without advertising.

“In the last two years, we have had cause to recruit specialists, and what the law says is that if we are going for that kind of recruitment we should apply for waiver, so that we can do targeted recruitment,” Mr. Okoroafor said.

He said the bank obtained waiver from the Federal Character Commission.

“The other issue is that there are states that are not well represented (in the CBN), and in this case we focus on those states to recruits people of certain classes that we used to cover the shortfall in those states,” Mr. Okoroafor said.

Mr. Okoroafor however said he was not ready to confirm or deny the names on the list.

“Is there any qualified Nigerian who does not have the right to work in the CBN?” he asked.
