After online news outlet Sahara Reporters broke the news of Central Bank of Nigeria's alleged illegal hiring of 91 people, there have been mixed to negative reactions from the citizenry. To see the full list, click HERE

In the midst of the ongoing debates, names of alleged beneficiaries of the illegal hires are beginning to emerge. Recall that CBN allegedly often went to great lengths, including tweaking the names of recruits, in order to hide the identities of beneficiaries of politically motivated recruitment.

Often the CBN used the beneficiaries’ first names and their father’s middle names to hide their real identities. For instance, the bank listed Maryam Atiku as “Maryam Abubakar.”

Recently the government made a pledge to the family of late minister Ocholi for immediate employment, a move I consider a slap on the faces of Nigerians, making it appear like the government is transparent as if the late minister’s family members are not already on payroll, but thanks to the revelation of illegal employment by the CBN, it only exposed this “change” as nothing but a hoax, a script wisely written for electoral gains.

And this same CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele came out few weeks ago that loans will be given out to corpers with good business plan so as to enable them to champion their passion for entrepreneurship.

He further said that, their NYSC discharge certificate will serve as collateral for obtaining the loan with single digit interest rate.

Yet, their own (politicians, high net-worth individuals) sons, daughters, friends & families are being employed secretly and regarded them as "specialist" to milk our hard-earned resources dry.

I shook my head for this country.

It is possible that most of the people from the North has "NEPA" bills as certificates, so you cannot possibly employ such people in a place like CBN, even though Buhari got such waive. Remember that Zamfara, Yobe among other Northern states are scoring 2 and 6 in order to gain admission in the Federal schools whereas states like Anambra and Delta had to score as high as 139 and 138 respectively to attend the same school. The possibility that there is dearth of qualified candidates from the North cannot be ruled out. Remember also that what you need to be qualified is Western education and not Arabic nor Quaranic education.

Seriously??

And the real economist, accountants and related professionals are on nairaland engaged in abusing each other over these thieves.
To think this is happening under Buhari watch.
If their qualifications are put side by side with their positions; don't be suprised lots of them did not read courses related to finance.
Tomorrow; these clowns will say the future of Nigerian youths is entrepreneurship but they hustle government jobs for their kids.
If entrepreneurship was that easy in an economy like ours why are their kids not involved.
