Yea... As regards the battery drain. A user recommended that I should unistall whatsapp, reboot and then re-install.... Which I did. Thankfully yesterday, I had 9hours SOT on my Redmi note 8. This phone is sleek and a performer.

I'm sure my case have been solved.

When I was visiting this Nairaland and this thread years back if only they had ignored somebody like him and I have to read through I could have ran away without thinking of buying Xiaomi phone.

Even my 1 year old RN5 battery gave me 2 days juice straight some weeks back when I traveled from PH to Yenagoa without my charger and unexpectedly had to spend the night without charging.

Glo is a scam, me and my wife uses the same RN7, she got 4G on her phone since October, up till today my own 4G Glo sim is still showing 3G, I even exchanged Sims; na same thing

Those guys are crooks. I remember having 4g signals too during the testing phase, can't remember when I saw it last again sef.

Maybe as usual they don't have the capacity to carry the load of prospective band 3 4g users.

Saw them but I don't like those ones, that's why I said third party apps(external/downloaded apps) but I did try one called terminator dark fate from the inbuilt theme store and it worked, but those not from theme store won't work, I have tried every possible way/method to make them appear but all to no avail

There are some things that the MIUI system wouldn't allow maybe due to it's in-depth skinned algorithm.
