Please I need to submit my application next week and I would like to use the GCKey portal but I could not find my way around how to send my application online, all I am seeing is how to send my application through VAC even though I clicked on online application can some please explain how to go about this.

Also how can I pay for my visa application fee online too, since CBN has placed a ban on the use of debit cards.

I am a first time applicant, did the entire workload myself from researching schools & provinces, gathering SP information, running the application process etc backed by the grace of God. Those still relenting need not to fear coz others succeeding don't have 2 heads.

I paid full tution fee for the year program and submitted valuation report for a house and land. The decision was made within 20 days of application submission.

Try and get more insight into how the funds (the lump sum transferred to you by your husband) were generated. Also adding documents related to your husband's employment, affidavit of support etc may help.
Lastly review your SOP with respect to the home ties.

Sorry man, the cheaper option is through form A which is done using official CBN rates, but it takes months to process. The deadline of June would have elapsed before the payment goes through

I submitted my application on 17th of April together with my upfront medical. Till date, I haven’t received biometric introduction letter but my medical was reviewed and passed on the 28th of April.

I filled a web form on the 22nd of April, still waiting for a response.

Do you know if your location make you exempted from the biometrics exercise?

People have tried this and got videos & pictures taken from other people's sites. Evil people are always ingenious with their trickery.

My advise is to buy an already built house from a reliable real estate developing company. If it's in the village, contract the project to your lawyer to get the work done.

Check your LOA, if a work component or coop is part of your program you'll see a page addressed to IRCC talking about it

I don't think you necessarily have to state that you've multiple accounts. Just saying this is where you've your living expenses money saved should imply that.

I think you're over thinking the situation and getting yourself worked up for nothing. Did you state in your SOP that that's your entire savings? (I hope you didn't do that) Or can't you have more than 1 account?

I applied for visit visa June last year and got visa approved in March 2023 . I already had plans to study in Canada this year so I applied to Conestoga college in October for September 2023 , got unconditional offer and even paid my first semester fees in December 2022 .

Is it okay to apply for study visa now that I just got my visit visa approved ? I haven’t even travelled with the visit visa . Will this be a problem ?

There's no need to apply again for a study permit just yet since you already have a valid visa. Rather when you've already travelled you apply to get a study permit and resume your studies.

Form A takes more than a month's time to process. Why not pay the tuition deposit by other faster means to secure your seat, then use form A for the remainder of the fees?

Applying to a school not having that feature implies you're leaving the country immediately your study is complete. You're not authorised to stay back & work thereafter

Take a look at the school's refund policy, you may be lucky and get most of your money back. I can't tell if 3 months plus will be too late but switching of schools especially within same province should not be a hassle.

I never expected it as I was waiting for a denial (my school doesn't issue PGWP and this was the sole reason I was expecting a denial and possibly POF too). If you have been following my story here, I said it before applying and some persons advised I tell VO that I won't come back after studies and I thought that would be detrimental to me in the future. So I just did a normal SOP and provided what I had to provide.

I'm still in shock that my whole family got PPR, we are a family of 4.



My school (ITD) is in Vernon, BC and it's a two years programme of which one year is co-op.


I have been thinking on how to strategize so I can reapply to public colleges that issue PGWP maybe not now but before the completion of my programme in Canada (need to gather funds for that).

I was told I will have to write a new SOP, provide all particulars again that I used for my application, POF, photos, etc.


Please, I will need your candid advise on how to go about it so I don't make silly mistakes like I earlier did when I chose ITD.


N.B: I have a list of schools/colleges in the Atlantic Provinces of Canada in my list already.

First of all congratulations are in order. You don't need to panic about the state of your school not offering PGWP. I will advise you travel then switch schools (obviously to one that has PGWP) immediately, there will be no re-application of a study permit rather you only update the IRCC of the change in schools.
I know someone in Toronto that had similar issues initially but she is now in her second year at a PGWP approved school as we speak.
