To be honest, I am hearing 'regional areas' for the first time! And yes, - PR is my long term plans. I would play around Google for this great information you have given, and you can be sure I will direct necessary questions to you and the house. Thanks again for this!
Great. So now you have your work cut out for you.

It's quite straight forward - identify the regional areas and cross-reference that info with the list of Schools under SVP.

Then check those Schools for your program, costs and whatever else matters to you.

***As you research on regional areas, be sure to identify why they are called that(they are low/under-populated places. Some people find it boring but hey, you have a goal in mind right? Except if 'gbedu' matters that much to you sha). Also, if at the time of PR you go with nomination from a region, they(or some) require you to live there for at least 2years or so and some other requirements(see why you need to research them?)

Hope this helps.

lolllllllllll!!!!:-D I have all I need from the page you sent in - thanks again! Funny enough, i visited the page once, but didnt scroll down *covers face*. Deakin may be my best option. Do you know how much deposit will be required for eCoE? Uni Queensland is just 8k, which makes sense. Thanks again!!!
I don't know about Deakin. But it's best to assume that each School will ask you to pay first semester Tuition + OSHC to cover the full length of the program(unless you indicate that you want to arrange OSHC by yourself) before they issue COE. I'm saying this based on my experience with QUT (You might want to check them out as well). So, don't make your financial plans based on only the Tuition.

Have you considered regional areas? The Schools there tend to be cheaper, plus you get more points(5 I think) for schooling there(again, this is if your long term goal is PR). Some regions are also known to put students that schooled in the area first when it comes to nomination. The only thing is that if you eventually want to go to that region, they have their own criteria too.

To know the places categorized as regional areas...google is your friend grin

Hope this helps.

Thanks brother. I was just on "Google" when i read your response. I have found few schools, I am currently reviewing their costs - pocket also matters you know :-). I understand I need at least two years of study. I intend taking a certificate programme that will last for one term (6 months) upon completion of the masters programme. Thank you brother! I appreciate you.

Good afternoon fellow contributors, please what is the fastest way to check if a school or programme is under SVP? I have applied to Uni of Queensland for Masters in Public Health Program (SVP - 1.5years), and I'm considering another application to another school for the same course in order to boost admission chances. I want a programme of 1.5 (or 2 years preferably), and the school has to be under SVP. Anyone who has such schools that meet my criteria can help me post them biko. Deakin's MPH degree is 2 years, but I'm not sure if they are under SVP. Thank you again and again!
Google dear, Google.

Anyhoo, follow this link...

https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/573-/Higher-Education-Sector-visa-(subclass-573)-streamlined-visa-processing

(It will take you to the SVP page on the DIBP website) On that page, click the 'Eligibility' tab then click on/expand the 'Students' tab and read up(you'll find criteria and info on how to identify SVP Schools and Courses). Also on that page, you'll see a hyperlink that will take you to the list of participating schools. Below is the link as well...

https://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2015L01275

***By the way, if you are expecting your education in Australia to count towards PR points, you DEFINITELY need at least 2 years of study. Hence, the 1.5 of UQ won't cut it.

Hope this helps.

Hello 2Posh and everyone else , in the form 157A ,Question 46? How will you access your funds in Australia ?
Please, what's the answer ?
Thanks
Well, how are you planning to access the funds when you are in Australia? Start with a truthful answer to the question as the core information before you embellish it if you must.

Is it a Scholarship? How do they plan to award it - will they be paying your Tuition by themselves or they'll give you the money? Can you provide evidence/details of the Scholarship?(why they are awarding it, why you were picked, amount involved etc). What about living expenses? Who/what covers that part and how? - another evidence.
*You should probably be careful with how you mention your Uncle as the President. That should not be the major relationship/connection you have with the co-operative you portray(my opinion), before they think your Uncle is embezzling funds or tipped the Scholarship scale in your favour or something. #JustSaying

Is it a loan? You'll probably need to show that you've acquired the loan already(please read the Teleperformance checklist I called your attention to before). You may want to have your Uncle take the loan out (if you are going the loan route) and deposit it in his personal account or your account and explain that in the letter and/or SOP.

Pray tell, why is your School on SVP and your course is not? huh

Hi,
Thank you so much for the quick response . I'm so grateful. And Yes my school is part of SVP but no, my intended course is not part of SVP. So, I am going to be accessed on assessment level 3.
I quite comprehend everything you said but it seems you didn't get my question right . I will rephrase it . Now, the question is , I'm using a coperative union bank statement and my uncle is the president . In the letter of sponsor , what reason can I state inside that , makes me connected with the coperative and why they wan to sponsor me ? That's the question I need answer for . Like , if there are cases like that where someone used coperative union account
Ok, I have no idea so I can't help you. Sorry

Good evening Nairalanders smiley Happy new month to everyone smiley my name is Abiola and I have been a member of nairaland since 2013. Infact , nairaland helped me to secure UAE visa without hassle and I wanna say a big thank you.
Now, I am back from UAE and in Nigeria . I applied to a college in Sydney and I was given admission. I have paid my tuition and OSHC and I have my eCoE. But , there is something that I am so confused about .
My Uncle is sponsoring me but he is not using his personal account , but he's using his coperative account . So, I would like to ask everyone with experience about coperative account , what would he state or write in the letter of sponsorship to be willing to sponsor me with the coperative account ?
Secondly, my uncle is using his friend's fixed deposit account as co-sponsor . Please, I'm applying for VET 572 visa and my intake is Feb 02, I have all the documents ready but I want to know what to write as a reason for the coperative to be sponsoring me or the relationship I have with them.
I'm open to all advices , please
Best regards
Is your School part of SVP?

Yes? - Bank statement and/or sponsorship letter won't be required, except in special cases where they might ask for it. Write a convincing SOP to make sure this doesn't happen.

No? - You might want to refer to the Teleperformance checklist on the type of accounts that are acceptable. I've posted a screenshot below for guidance. Pay attention to the highlighted part. You can also try and ask Teleperformance about it.

hello mr 2posh, NNBB2012, bossladymo1, please i will humbly need your input on this...am a graduate of geology and have ever since i graduated from the university been searching and scratching for any relevant information that will lead to my permanent migration to australia. i have gone through the (SOL) but unfortunatly my occupation is not listed, but it is listed on the (CSOL). Now problem is, i have alot of confusion with (CSOL) as i dont precisely know if it is state norminated or employer nominated, if it is either of the two, or even both, how then will one get the state or an employer to sponsor him or her. Do you just apply for a job in australia and seek that the employer sponser your visa?......please i crave your soothing comments and inputs on this.
Hi,

first of all, 2posh is FEMALE cheesy

Please read my last post on PR for a general summary of what it entails but don't take my word for it! You need to research, read this thread & identify with the PR gurus here to assist.

Here's my 2cents:-

If your skill is only on CSOL, one of the groups in below screenshot must nominate you. For that to happen, you need to check out the requirements of any(or all) of them that you are interested in to make sure you qualify. (Google will help you with a list of the states/territories and their websites - which is where you'll find their requirements) When you submit your 'expression of interest' you have to select the ones you are seeking their nomination(I understand there's the option of selecting all of them)

*I'm not very conversant with Employer nomination yet. I think you'll need to find an Employer (either while you are inside or outside Australia) to nominate you.*

However, with the CSOL and it's accompanying nomination, you'll still need to go through the other steps: English test, skill assessment and all what not.

2posh, chi50 and other gurus in the house, I want your thoughts on this. I was told to fill in the exact dates my course will begin and end as the dates for intended arrival and departure. Hope it won't affect me as I intend on leaving 3 weeks before the course begins and not immediately after the course ends. Thanks
I used a date 2weeks ahead of resumption for entry date and for exit date I picked a date 1 month after school ends.

Based on the above, I don't think the dates you pick matter, as long as they are within the allowed 'length of student visa' period that applies to you based on your program start and end dates.

Please see below. It's a screenshot of page 4 of the form 157A (the beginning part where you have instructions and information). Please read that part before you fill your form!

***The dates you pick wont affect your visa anyway. I understand you can enter anytime between the grant of your visa and the start of your course as long as it's not more than 3 or 4 months before school starts.(Although, you are not allowed to work until school starts).

***For exit, your visa end date will still be granted based on what applies to you as shown below, which will tally with your OSHC too.

Good morning NL! Happy new month to everyone, may the month bring good tidings.

I have read so many posts on this trend but I think my case is peculiar, not been able to find all answers to my questions. I have over 3 years sales experience of which 1 and half years of it was in the banking industry (Full staff not contract) but I've been out of job for 5 months now (I resigned tho). I have masters already in Information science and first degree in Animal science. After 5 months of idleness I'm tired of sitting at home and thinking of relocating to Australia (Learnt there's so much job opportunities over there and of course a better standard of living). I cant afford their school bills but I'll like to know if I can apply for PR and get to work. Can I be granted based on my courses/work experience and how will I go about it?

Please help a bleeding heart, I am seriously at a fix. This issue was my cross over prayer/dilemma. Please don't ignore my post guys, say something and advise me accordingly

Thank you and happy Sunday everyone
Hi,

The links and basic guidelines for PR were posted again a few pages back. I think it was by pingu2k5. Try and find it(you'll do well to take time and go through the thread. You'll also notice the PR gurus on the thread who can help you) or become friends with google.

You need to do a lo-o-o-o-o-o-ot of research before you dive in.

In a nutshell:-

First, check the SOL and CSOL lists and see if there's a skill there you can nominate(based on your education and work experience)

Second, find the assessing body for that skill and check their requirements and if you can meet them.

Then go on "skill select" and see if you can get enough points based on your current profile(and the assumption of getting a positive assessment from your assessing body and getting the required scores in your English test). This will guide you on the type of visa to aim for. If you have 60points and above, you are good to go. If you have 55, you can request a state/region to nominate you in order to get additional 5points(again, if you meet their own requirements).

Then write IELTS or whatever accepted alternative English test and get the scores required to help you get the points you need.

You'll then need to forge ahead by getting assessed and submitting an "expression of interest". If you qualify, you'll be invited to apply within a certain time frame.

You have the option of doing medicals prior to lodging or you can apply and wait to be advised to do the medicals.

After that, comes the waiting...

Good evening, please I'm wondering whether I'm to tick yes in question 104 of 157A since pfl aided my application. Moreover, I'm filling the 956A too. Thanks.
If PFL is your agent, they should be able to advice you on what to do. They'll give you the info to fill in there (note that if you tick yes to 104 and fill out the spaces, you'll also have to deal with 105 - 108) especially if they are officially authorized to aid visa applications ie MARA registered. Ask and be sure so you can act accordingly.

Also, why are you filling 956A? Why don't you want to receive the visa by yourself? undecided
Is this their way of making sure you pay by receiving the visa on your behalf and holding it until you pay?

The gurus here will tell you there's no point in using an agent and I agree. You can do everything on your own.

1) plz can sumone write earnings that are lower than 30k per month in that 157A application form.won't it be seen as too small.

2) like I asked before not like I ask too much question. can I use an affidavit to back the mistake made in my name in my employment offer letter and promotion letters. and can I also state the mistake and the affidavit back up in my SOP

3) does/can ones educational provider share informations with the Pretoria visa office. for example.. if I want to change the CV in which I submitted for admission and anoda for visa application. can it be possible.

for number 2 I'm scared that it might cause problems for me dats y I'm tinking of changing the CV if its possible.

plz ur replies will be seriously appreciated
Hi chetaRay,

I'll try to answer your questions based on what I did. This does not in any way mean that it's right. The gurus here can help out too.

1) I didn't state any figure in my case. I just used junior/mid/senior categorization (please read the post I made after stating that I've received my visa)

2) I submitted an affidavit as well because a letter was omitted in my name on my Degree Certificate. I just attached the affidavit to the certificate(both of them were certified) I didn't bother to mention this in my SOP, mine was already too long anyway.

3) I honestly don't know. I didn't submit a CV to my school. I only used CV for visa application.

Hope this helps

Thank God!!!
I just got my 573 visa grant(SVP) ‎

Omo, the awaiting-visa phase is not for kids!‎!! The anxiety/suspense is out of this world. Whew! ‎I'm mighty glad the waiting and wondering is finally over. Help me thank God ooo

Timeline :‎‎
Submission of application - Friday the 9th of Oct. 2015. Teleperformance said the application would get to Pretoria the following Monday(12th) and so I should expect the outcome in 2 weeks starting from that day. But according to the Visa grant letter, my application was actually received at Pretoria on Wednesday the 14th of October. Go figure...

‎Visa grant - Today : Thurs‎day the 29th of Oct. 2015 . There was no phone interview or email requesting any additional information or document from me before the grant.

Thanks everyone for the support.‎

@Chi50, my personal lab-rat grin grin grin You know how we roll: go first and prepare the way like John the Baptist. Lol! See you down-under‎ *hugs*

PS :-‎
‎Medicals were preloaded. Evidence of polio vaccination was included in application packet.

I did not include Transcripts in my Visa application but I included my Degree Certificate(certified copy).
I did not submit bank statements or funding/sponsorship letter and did not show any evidence of home ties like land ownership, waiting job offer etc but my SOP was 3 solid typewritten pages!(including citations/references that took up half of the last page). I had a lot of explaining to do. No be small thing! ‎
***If you are writing a similarly lengthy SOP depending on your situation, as someone previously said, make sure it's NOT boring!***‎

Also, I did not state any salary figure in the application form. (As a sales person, I get paid a basic salary + commission so it's hard to pin down a particular figure as salary since it varies based on performance). So, what I did was to write junior/mid/senior level as applicable, and then I included copies of my offer letters, promotion letters and pay-slips to show my earnings.

I did not mention any of this before(for those that asked), for fear of misleading someone but now that it seems to have worked, I hope it helps someone that may be in a similar position. However, be sure to tread with caution and back everything up with serious prayers(and fasting if you can)...or whatever works for you.‎

Regards‎

Non-SVP takes 3months counting from when your application got to Pretoria.

The Questions can be anything, depending on what you put in your application form and the documents you submitted(or did not submit).

I even have to choose secondary school teacher since I didn't see anything in my line of work, I also wanted to use hubby point but once I clicked on insurance adjuster the red error came up too.

pleaseee someone help make I follow una enjoy this good news na.

If your skill is not listed on SOL/CSOL then you don't qualify.

To prove that you qualify for any skill you nominate, you have to get assessed by the assessing body for that skill by applying to the body first and submitting evidence before you use the results to do your EOI. You'll also have to write the applicable English test.

Go to the first post on this page by pingu2k5 and follow the links he posted. You need to carefully research before you jump in and start any of the processes.

This is just my 2cents and most of us here(including me) are going the school route so the responses you get here on direct PR through skilled worker migration may be few and far between.

Hope this helps.
