Nigeria Spends $1bn To Import Tomato Paste - Hmm, this report revealed by UNEP will come as a shock to many Nigerians. But not for me where everything including toothpicks are imported. But i still cant fathom the reason our government still cant find a lasting solution to the dwindling economy of the Nation. If this is true and it is true, then Nigeria is standing right behind a "failed state". How do we explain this? That a Country vast in lands good enough to produce anything good regarding agriculture still spends up to a Billion dollars to import Tomatoes paste. What a shame? tomatoes

I cant be more surprised at all. After all just some days back, the Presidential Spokesman Mr Lai said that the Economy of the Nation is beyond the President country. This shows that this country under this present administration, lacks focus. Do you know how many factory that money can establish for the sole production of Tomatoes Paste?

According to the United Nations Environmental Programme, UNEP, they have done an outcry and lamented that the Nigerian government do spend about $1 billion on importation of tomato paste.

Can you imagine that? Wait o, did someone say Nigeria is the Giant of Africa? Well it is true just that we must specify on which dimension they are been regarded as the Giant. Well for me, they are the Giant of Africa in size and not in initiative.
