LeSudAfricaine:
hmm South Africa has 80 percent yet our country-s growth is owed to whites or arabs, which Arabs? So what you're essentially saying is that the majority of people in South Africa are doing absolutely nothing to move their country forward, it's either you don't understand basic economics or you have something against South Africa, tell me who's responslbie for the success that is Botswana? The Colombians? Stop making South Africa a case study all the time beacuse you simply do not understand the dynamics of the country

I'm not saying the black South Africans aren't doing anything to move their country forward. My point is the foundation of South Africa's success was built by the whites, that's a fact and the whites still run your country to a great extent (i'm assuming you are South African). Have nothing against South Africans, indifferent about you guys, I like your music though. Just stating facts which are open to argument.

In addition, Arabs, talking about North Africans who lost their lands to the Arabs in the Arab Invasion.

I will end with what the great John f Kenedy said, it is not all about what your country can do for you but it is about what you can do for your country. many Nigerias blaming the government for their misfortune but put them in that position and they will do even worse.
if you need more better truth ask just like Pepsi ask for more.
you talk of the best doctor as a Nigerian and yet many Nigerians are here dying of curable disease, why you may ask because of flight of specialist to oyinbo country in the name of searching for greener pasture.

What is your problem with the person you quoted? Your anger should be with the government not him. Tell your govt to provide common electricity, good roads, water etc then citzens can now contribute thier own quota. Do you know that your leaders are one of the highest earners in the world? yet they do not provide value to the citizens

You dont need German language for the mercedes job ooo!, last year November application and luckily if you get their email to come and sign the 4 months contract, That german language they put as a requirement is just for formality,no interview, just sign contract and begin to work, some of the job is parking of car carburetor or other manual job

I will bring you back to that Kennedy quote. When you are ready and willing to do something for your country but you country is not ready to accept what you are ready to do for it, then what will you do? Kill yourself?

people who have followed this your quote and decided to do something for Nigeria where are they today. I want to believe you are a young man or woman as the case may be and I want to believe also that you have ideas on how to move Nigeria forward, but answer this question and be sincere. If you don't have the means to mobilize thugs, have a godfather or belong to the so called elite, can you declare your intentions of holding a political post and not be silenced even before you open your mouth. So if another country give you the platform to put your ideas in motion, wont you take it?

A friend of mine came home to contest for House of rep in the last election, this is a successful guy full of ideas to the extent that ideas don't let him sleep, even before the primaries he was attached by political thugs on Lagos Ibadan expressway. Thank God he was an American citizen he had to be flown abroad just so he can live again.

So call me an hypocrite for developing another mans country, I will accept it.

As we all know, Nigeria is our country, despite all the bad images and stories emanating from Nigeria, notwithstanding, I still believe we have good and valid reasons to remain here in this beautiful country.

1.Bragging Rights
As a Nigerian, you sure have the bragging rights in your country, because it's your country, you're not subject to any immigration laws, visa issues, green card etc. you're a boss right here cool
2.Good Market
Yes! Nigeria has unarguably the best market in Africa, because of our huge population and standard purchasing power, think about it,any business can thrive in Nigeria, little wonder we have many foreign companies like MTN,Shell,DHL,Emirates Airline etc... Because we've got the market... oh yes cool
3.Ease of Living
Many will agree with me that Nigeria Is a very easy country to live in compared to UK,the US,Germany and other abroad countries. This is because in Nigeria, you can live according to ur income,I.e. there are many cheap houses,no one is compelled to pay tax,the bills like electricity, water bills are relatively cheap.
4.Diverse Opportunities
Here in Naija, you can become whatever you wanna be,you can do whatever you wanna do as long as you have the capital and skills to do it,.. Whether you wanna go into importation like the Igbos cheesy,or you wanna dive into agriculture, or perhaps you wanna start a company or you wanna open a big provisions store, you can here in Nigeria.
5.Economic Growth
Who wan argue? Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa, it's the second-top investment destination in Africa, our economy grows very fast each year, this only shows you that we are heading there"
. A wise Nigerian can exploit the economic potentials of this country, there are untapped natural resources, there are unexploited business areas, meeeehn.. if you're smart enough, you can become a billionaire overnight in Nigeria. Better than being an average man in the US. smiley
6.Entertainment Value
No African country rivals us when it comes to entertainment. Be it music, be it movies,be it talk shows, be it events.. we're number one cool .. We Nigerians enjoy loads of entertainment from our local contents, our music, our nollywood movies, our comedy shows, our events cheesy... won't you rather be happy at home??
7.Environment
The Nigerian environment I'd fun,you talk of the warm weather, abundance of rain, good soil for agriculture, the many companies, the familiarity with fellow Nigerians... we are fun people cheesy we are smart cool that's why the foreigners hate us,because we too smart grin ... Naija man nor dey dull cheesy ... we keep it real cool

You can add yours. Lalasticlala,Seun, shey you agree with me? cheesy

This OP is funny.
I started laughing when I saw the word opportunity.
Nice satirical article.

And seriously who said you can only contribute to growth and development of Nigeria by holding a political office. have you ever heard about the great depression of the 1930s how come the Americans and Co dint run away from thier country to another but rather they stayed and fixed things?

I was in Ghana for a week last two months and i can tell you for a fact that asides the regular supply of electricity, feeding in Nigeria is quite cheaper than in ghana.

I had a breakfast for 7cedis which is about N900(Changed 1cedis for N130) and you can get same quality of food for N250 here in Nigeria meaning you can use the money paid fore a square meal in Ghana to eat 3 square meals in Nigeria..i even had my beards trimmed for 5 cedis which is N650 habba! what i will do here for N100

I should be in South Africa next month and compare the cost of feeding there to Nigeria or if anyone here resides in south Africa or other countries, you can simply make the comparisons.

one thing is sure. The govt provided an enabling environment for people to be productive. is it when u spend all day trying to put fuel in your car and generator and u expect citizens to innovate? if we cannot blame them for lack of Basic amenities then they should refund thier jumbo allowances they have collected and apologize to Nigerians. if they do thier job, we will do ours.

You dont conclude like that, feeding here in Germany like breakfast cost an average of 5€ which is about N1,600. Ghana economy and Nigerian economy are not the same. The same thing with South Africa, there is what they called purchasing power parity and each country has it own purchasing power parity.

See i wont deceive you, if you have money, just stay put in Nigeria and invest and if you are outside and have made good money please invest in Nigeria and you will see the meaning of true patronage.

We have the population, and in-fact the purchasing power just that the socio economy platform is very very faulty
