Hello please i need your help regards my pc and modem..for few days now my pc hasn't been recognizing my glo modem(and have been using it to browse for past months).i dont know what can be wrong with it.i have tried all what i can think of.Firstly,i tested the modem on another pc and its worked fine,secondly,i tested all the usb ports to and they are all working fine and thirdly i tried connecting my system to a wifi hotspot and it did connect normally and browsed.and the funny thing again is that when i plug the modem into the pc its makes the normal notification sound(dnt knw if u get me).pls i would be glad if i get a reply soon.thanks

go to control panel,click on uninstall programs
when the page open,look for the modem program there and uninstall it..
After uninstalling it,install it again and restart your system after the installation. it will work hopefully

Yes, you will only change the DVD rom, not the lens itself.

Pls hv u encounter this problem on ur laptop window changing from win 7 to win 95 anytime i click on any folder it shows thisThe server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect.Do u knw of any solution

In computer village you can get one for a token (usually NGN 200 to NGN 250).

Getting the disk isn't the main issue-genuine or not.

Please, back up, BACKUP, BACKUP your files on an external storage before attempting any formatting process.
If you don't then it'd be really bad. Then you'll start looking for software to recover your files... Then it will be too late.

This has happened so many times on this forum.
The person will be like: "Thanks so much, I've been able to format my laptop but I can't find my files".

Am like: " funke ...

Don't let this happen to you ok

Cannot happen.

I imagine you want to play games with it, right?

Or you tried one and it was lagging...

Or you wanted to install one game like that
and your laptop didn't meet the minimum requirements.

Whatever it is, you can't increase the dedicated video memory from that 32MB.

You will have to get a system with a good Intel HD graphics or something of 512MB.

I have 3 of such systems... Reasonable figures.

Hello.

The best way is for your client to use Windows apps for Chrome OS by going to Microsoft site.

Ofcourse there are ways you can wipe off chrome OS and put in a fresh OS (Windows 8 ) . But it has a lot to do with BIOS modifications...

BUT THE PROCESS isn't fool proof. Sometimes the windows might hang or freeze, some apps might not be supported etc.

Remember all those tiny errors in Windows you could easily resolve by refreshing... Well it'll be challenging with a chrome book...



Tell your client to either settle for windows App for Chrome OS or get a Windows PC.

But the problem is the person using it before who might have the key is not in the country presently. Please, what can I do before the expiry date? Thanks.

Maybe the fan is not working well..and also check the processor..
take it to a technician to ascertain the problem

Yes I have formatted it and It works well after then. But d problem started again when I inserted a flash drive to d extent that some buttons were malfunctioning but it stopped when I remove the flash. That made me believe that the cause is the virus.
