Balogun superb. Ekong is trying but must stop his useless long passes. Sanusi anonymous in attack, average in defence. Ebuehi as solid as the rock of Gibraltar. Ndidi doing well. Etebo began poorly but improved towards the end. Chukwueze as usual competing with NEPA for inconsistency. Iheanacho appearing briefly and disappearing. Iwobi, for the most part, seems totally lost. Osimhen trying, but rather wasteful. Uzoho largely on holiday.

Gernot Rohr's tactics aren't bad. Keep possession and try to hurt them from the flanks. Unfortunately, Chukwueze and Iwobi haven't really provided that much creativity from the wings yet. This game is begging for an Onyekuru in the second half. My hopes are high. Two goals at least still dey for us for this game.

grin grin grin. Too much defence

Aribo is a better defender than Etebo, believe it or not

It's a shame our captain can't even give simple pass to save his life.
Awaziem should come in for Ekong. Onyekuru should come in for Etebo then Iwobi should switch to 10.

It just seems like anytime he attempts a long pass, he gives away possession undecided

I'm one of those quick to defend him buh based on today's performance, Iwobi was probably our worst player on the pitch in the first half

I don't think so.

Iwobi has made some passing combinations. He has also been creative too.

I like his form so far.

but but he was our best midfielder at AFCON and World Cup na? grin

Subzero047:
People still rate Etebo in 2021, hug the ball and insha Allah

Ndidi would have been more secure in that midfield with Aribo

Well, I started watching from Osimhen's goal, I don't think he's been bad since then.

Sanusi has been confused by Iwobi, there were some stray passes earlier on that Iwobi made that left Sanusi bemused, I think he is trying to play it safe at the moment

He still needs to provide passing support.

Nice movement during play. Impressed with Ebuehi and his foot works.

Ebuehi is the best RB we have at the moment.

The same with Onyekuru, as the best LW at the moment.

Iwobi should mind midfield positions.

Some of us seem to forget that iwobi hasn't been training and has been in isolation due to d covi 19 result in benin...and even at dat he has bn d one dropping deep and driving us forward wit passing combinations, we can't expect 100% pass accuracy frm someone trying to create and break defensive setups..

Our passes have been so poor, considering the level at which these players are.

That has always been the Achilles heel of all Rohr's teams. We need passers.

Which is why Eze, Olise, Ejaria e.t.c are invaluable to us.

I wonder why Iwobi is still in this match.

Nacho seems lost in this game.

The Sierra Leonians say that some of the Beninoise players have tested positive for COVID-19 including the team captain . The Benin team say that the result is fake. They are currently in their team bus and they say that they'll soon decide if the game will go ahead.
Remember that the Beninoise said that Alex Iwobi had tested positive for COVID-19, but a test that was conducted in Lagos showed that he did not have the disease.
E be like say d new way to weaken yhur opponent na to talk say their star player(s) get covid.

What Uzoho is doing now is very important, organizing the defence that's where he trumps Okoye
