Our away game against CAR will played in Cameroon... That's gonna be in one of the AFCON stadiums,I think....so that's a bonus for us...neutral ground plus good pitch... 6 points guaranteed in the double header... that's 12 points...

.... And if Cape Verde can take 4 points off their two legged encounter with Liberia, we are home and dry with two matches to spare grin grin grin

You watched the football this evening? Both teams struggled to string passes together, the difference in football iq is astronomical it is not even about infrastructure, well that's a matter for another day
Honestly, both sides weren't that tactical. Their was lack of cohesion on our side. Lack of confidence in moving forward to the opponent goal. I feel we could had done better on a better pitch, with better familiarity amongst our players.

Bros, an average European team will get trashed on that pitch.

Mark my words!

Cape Verde struggled to string passes in their pitch how can they trash another team grin

I think that Uzoho is better too but is he starting for his team or is he still a backup?

Uzoho should not be on the bench.

So those two teams will agree to play on these kind of poor and ball-bouncing pitch?

Please, leave sentiments aside and be objective in your submission at least.
They won't. We played a good game. But we don't wanna play only good games. We wanna play great games. We wanna play better, more offensives and aggression. That's why i compared us to those teams.

grin cheesy don't be surprised when he starts for us in the world cup.

Because your average Euro team will struggle more. Everyone struggles in bad pitches. Trust me, I have played in bad pitches before so I should know.

Super Eagles will qualify easily with a game to spare in this group. The real test will be the playoff when we are pair with Ghana or Ivory coast or Egypt. Looking at the current FIFA ranking

The bad pitch is a factor but it's not like Cape Verde is a good footballing side, I was disappointed by what I saw from them, I highly overestimated them

You said it all. I think their win over Cameroon in the qualifiers is the reason why many people thought they were a good side

I'm really worried about our defence. We come forward too much. We were lucky in this game, during that corner toward the ending. Okoye left the post. The ball just had a close swipe with the bars cry

I never liked Awaziem as a CB. That guy is a SB. He is light. That's not a CB. He wanna make runs. He wanna come forward. He wanna be making crosses. My opinion.

Our boys fought for every damn ball. Cameroon was thrashed 3-0 on that same pitch. Appreciate the boys and stop ranting!

The Okoye should be replaced with Uzoho. We thank Alhaji Musa for the years of service to Nigeria; he needs to retire now and allow Ejike and Henry or Kalu to play .

I concur, i like Kalu. That guy's free kicks blow my mind. He is underrated. Fun fact, Kalu is the best free kick taker in SE right now but I'm not sure about his health.

Are you aware that Cape Verde has defeated countries like:
Cameroon
South Africa
Togo
Kenya
Libya
Plus even European countries like: Portugal, Luxembourg, Andorra etc.

Please don’t write them off.

Which of their teams defeated them because this team I watched today doesn't look like they played football together before, maybe they were missing key players too because they were horrible today grin

My take
1. Rohr got his sub right this time
2. Musa though fading, but will surely be at Qatar to lead d guys (baring any last mins injury)
3. There is no time we won't qualify with a game to spare....rohr is a specialist at that
4. Winning an away game against a team that love to play draw and also tagged giant killers, shows we are certified Africa's big boys more espciallyng Missing 7regular starters in the super eagles.
5. There is likely to be a draw game against Liberia away or Cape Verde home
6. Lastly, guys we are Nigeria/Africans we are not Italy, Germany, Brazil...let's keep d constructive criticism coming rather destructive ones....even our golden generation with all them sweet sweet cruise back in those days,na round 16 b our last last bustop

You are doing too much. Uzoho did well during the world cup and has been decent for us ever since. He just needs some stability at club level. He is a competent keeper.

Ejuke and Oyenkuru should NEVER be on the bench. Never. It's an aberration against football. They're far better than those Rohr favours.

The squad depth in this team is beginning to show. We not only won bt were clearly the better team.

Maduka Okoye, hmm. I still don't know why Rohr made that kid his first choice. I don't know what he is building him towards but that guy lacks some basic rudiments of goal keeping. He looks like a type that easily can concede 4 when our opponents have 5 or 6 attempts at goal. Na U17 or U20 goalies dey concede that kind of goal.

Like someone earlier mentioned, village people follow those Cape Verde defenders come field. How can you explain two such defensive blunders in a crucial WC qualifier?

By the look of things we would probably qualify with the CAR double header.

AIRPEACE CEO way awa N20M?

During the last friendly game, some of us raised the issue...
What has Okoye done to justify being handed the no.1 spot ahead of Uzoho? They said he is playing for a better club..
smh...

If you are not in camp with these guys, you can't really say.
