jihday: January 5th is before AFCON... So obviously,it's the Arab cup and pre AFCON friendly that will decide... The intent to compromise not withstanding, I don't mind the decision... We have to earn that world cup ticket through serious work..Unless of course, CAC decides to manipulate it,which I doubt they will do against us.... |

What are the basic requisites for the wing forward role A wing forward or an outside forward is a forward occupying the wide areas in a front three attacking caste notable in a 4-3-3 tactical setups. The skillsets needed for the wing forward role includes the following: Pace: This is the rate of movement. The ability to cover more grounds in a given time. The more in pace a player has, the better the player for the wing forward role. A good pace is also important for high pressing football. Finishing: This means to complete the attack by scoring. Dribbling:: This is the ability to control the ball past an opponent without being intercepted. Passing skills: Through passing, cutback passing and linkup play are arguably the most emphasized for wing forward plays especially for teams that thrive on positional play. 3 Likes |

Danielnino00: The Arab cup won't make much of a difference since all the matches are going to be counted as friendlies played outside of the international window. It may come down to the AFCON group stage matches |

I put it to you that you have never been constructive when it comes to Iheanacho. When KC was doing well towards the back end of last season you first downplayed his efforts by saying he was only doing it against smaller teams when his form proved you wrong, instead of humbly saying he has done well exceeding your expectations as of then you still took little shots at him complaining why it took him all these years to perform conveniently forgetting your here and now mantra. Even to ordinarily congratulate him on winning the FA Cup your bias and ego wouldn't let you. Awoniyi is the 3rd highest goal scorer currently in the bundesliga a top 5 league behind great strikers like Lewandoski and Haalaad. Taiwo is currently the highest Nigerian goal scorer in all of the top 5 leagues a feat worthy of commendation. Dennis has done well and deserves commendation from everyone including you but using him as an excuse to attack other players is really beneath you. komekn: 8 Likes 1 Share |

NPFL is a no no for until they change the mentality of the coaches and the kind of players they recruit. The odd one might surprise but the Nigerian league as currently structured is a carpenter conveyor belt. humility33: |

A house divided itself cannot stand. D'Tigers have gone from beating USA to having their chances at qualifying for the World Cup being in jeopardy. A federation marred by corruption, infighting and insufficient support. A tragic downfall: Nigerian style 3 Likes |

Ppogbae: It's quite sad really even though we must give it to the boys. The erstwhile captain apparently put the team together as the "administrators" are more concerned about the leadership infightings that they didn't give a damn. They don't even have a complete team, since they allegedly had to "self finance" only 9 players are currently battling for Nigeria's world cup qualification |

The Confederation of African Football on Friday gave its support to the "decision of the FIFA Congress to conduct a feasibility study" for a World Cup every two years. CAF is the first confederation to officially and publicly approve the controversial plan to hold a World Cup every two years, at the same pace as its Africa Cup of Nations tournament. The Confederation, at its extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo, also voted in favour of establishing a Super League for African clubs. FIFA will hold a summit in December with President Gianni Infantino still hoping to find consensus on plans to stage the men's tournament more often than the current four-year cycle. It is an incendiary topic given the various interests at stake, between clubs and national teams, domestic leagues and international competitions. Opposition has been so widespread from leagues, players and supporters groups that the chances of a biennial World Cup actually happening appear remote. The World Cup has been played every four years, apart from cancellations during World War II (1942 & 1946), since the inaugural edition in 1930. The new biennial proposals were put forward by Arsene Wenger, FIFA's head of Global Development. The World Cup is expanding regardless in another way -- the men's version to 48 teams from 2026 and the women's to 32 teams from 2023. |

TFLASHOGEE: Nacho has the 'touch' players like Salah, Messi, Ronaldinho etc have. The problem was that he became lazy. Refused to develop his fitness, work rate, pace, etc. Osimhen is as gifted as Nacho, but in a different way. You don't have to have the touch to be gifted. Ronaldo doesn't have it, yet he is a GOAT. One thing though I have noticed with Osimhen is that his ball control, especially with aerial balls, is special. Guy can trap any ball, no matter how high. However, his first touch is surprisingly poor, which is weird with someone with excellent ball control. Also, his crosses are pinpoint accurate, but his short passing is also poor. That is usually the difference between kids who have been playing from academies at 9 years and guys like Osimhen who grew up with street ball. Some of the simpler things like short passes and first touch are missing in Osimhen's portfolio because they weren't drilled into him when he was very young. However, he is better at the more natural things that only talent can help you with like ball control and crossing. 2 Likes |
