DABIGATRAN: Rohr doesn't invite by club performance, he's very faithful to his trusted players. |

Not true. Rohr actually mixes both. He invites based on those he trusts and have built his team around and then he invites based on club form too. If not he would not have dropped Iheanacho for the Afcon. Infact, I have it on good authority that he will consider Henry Onyekuru again if the lad gets it going well at Monaco. So, yes, Rohr has his trusted lads but he is also very particular about performances and how it would translate to making the Super Eagles better. TheLoneCitizen: 1 Like 1 Share |

TheLoneCitizen: You are right about Rohr calling up trusted players. However club performance wins one the initial chance to get invited and fight to win the trust. With Onuachu striking a deadly attacking combo with Dessers, I don't see the duo not being invited at the same time for national assignments. |

With the avalanche of attacking options at our disposal in the Eagles, I think the coaching crew should now galvanize efforts to bring in players with special qualities( free-kicks, bending corner-kicks, headers) in central midfield and in the defence. 1 Like |

Joebie: He is not one of the best young strikers, you could be right, but I think he is. But then holding on to the term striker, who is better than him currently , do you think❓ I was very impressed with another dimension to Tega game yesterday, which was, blistering pace. I know that he is very technically astute so he doesn't always use pace. Buy yesterday he was pressing the Bayern backline with real pace very good hold up and link up play. Unfortunately the Chelsea defence is badly organised the defenders are not particularly bad just not organised. As a result they make silly errors. Then Barkley hugs the ball too much and does not release the ball. |

If i was a foreign born player, i will join the Super Eagles. With the current crop of players we have (Both junior, senior, foreing born etc) we have an exciting project in which we will dominate African and World football for the next 10 to 15 years. I mean players like Akinkunmi Amoo, Samson tijani, Karim Adeyemi e.t.c are still on the queue for the future. Any foreign born that does not join us now will regret it because places are getting filled up fast. 1 Like |

English team is also beaming with exciting upcoming talents: from the generation that won u17 and u20 world cup. Added their reward system looks more exciting than ours. As a foreign born, if the opportunity is open in both countries, I won't think twice before accepting England. feelme2020: 6 Likes 1 Share |

TheLoneCitizen: The things is very simple you are invited base on your club performance but club performance doesn't keep you in the team sometimes but the managers faith in you the likes of shehu falls in this category shehu is playing in Turkish second division but still invite coz rohr have faith in him. |

Edopesin: You have a point but there are some foreign born players that are very good but will find it difficult to enter the first team of their country of birth. Playing for Nigeria may be better for them. (Tammy Abraham will have to wait for Harry Kane e.t.c). The problem is we will always find a player from one place or the other (our academies, foreign born, local league etc). With the rate at which we are producing players, we should go far and it will be exciting to join it. Well, time will prove everyone wrong or right |
