Mujtahida:Exactly, I don't know why some fans are always looking for a scapegoat after every loss, they quickly did a 360 degrees turnaround on Nwabali after the match, now it's Iwobi and Tolu. In the previous games it was Dessers and Ekong. Maybe Bameyi and his u20 brothers should be promoted and used for Afcon, smh |

9JAMac10:Point of correction. He did not blame the loss on voodoo. The reporter asked him why he was upset with the Congolese staff members during the penalties, and Chelle replied by saying that he saw a Congolese staff member sprinkling something during the penalties, which he suspected was voodoo.Funny Eric chelle is blaming the loss in voodoo by the Congolese people. See primitive inept coach wants to blame African voodoo hahaha what a jokester He did not blame the loss on the suspected voodoo. He only explained why he was angry. |

Chelle and the players did their best after a rough start under Peseiro and Finidi, it's a miracle they even got this far. They should just focus on the Afcon next month, the only sad part is that majority of them will be in their 30s if we qualify for 2030. |

UncleHaba22:Iwobi is not the reason we lost today and we don't actually have a lot of players to choose from unless we start begging foreign-born players. The entire team was outplayed by DR Congo from the 1st minute to the 120th. It's time to focus on the Afcon |

Why bench Akor when he compliments Osimhen and make work easier for him. At least one of Akor or Simon should have started. Simon should have started not Lookman. We hardly scored goals when Lookman play. Simon creates chances, draws defenders to himself and is very effective while helping defense bunch Chelle is carried away by APOTY award. Chelle doesn't learn from his mistakes. And when it comes to Midfield onyedika is better But he still gets benched. How can a professional midfielder be losing the ball carelessly. Iwobi and Lookman are so guilty of this. |

MetalJigsaw:Lookman played well today. it was ndidi and chuks that did not convert the easy chance Lookman created for them. but Lookman himself should have the intelligence to know that when he plays the team does not score and should himself ask the coach to bring him on in the 2nd half... same way ndidi and iwobi can both fake injury on the pitch if they realize they are not playing well themselves and tell the coach to replace them with Onyedika and Alhassan Yussuf.. SE is not a team, it is a bunch of players who prefer the bonuses they get from the SE than for the SE to actually play proper football and win teams.. |

Karlovych:u20 team will at least press and transition the ball better than the SE who will cede possession to the opponents and allow the opponents to press them as if they are a League 2 club side.. |

Karlovych:U people don always admit this iwobi Even when the team is playing well Iwobi will still drop a stinker In this current team iwobi is the oldest player and we have been finding iwobi position for the super eagles team since 2015 Next week he'll turn maradona for Fulham Iwobi is very average when it comes to the national team I know the whole team was poor yesterday but let's talk about iwobi he too poor man Wrong pass, can't press, sluggish on the ball rinse and repeat He caused the DR Congo equaliser Since 2015 iwobi still dey average lol Make Una talk truth jare |

......I know emotion garnished with pain still dey our body but we need to tell ourselves the truth. Only Osimhen and Benjamin deserve the shirt, to some extent, Bassey as well. Rest should go and focus on their club careers. DRC deserve the slot, I said it before the match even got to PK. We were completely outplayed and tactically destroyed. We weren’t given breathing space at all in the second half and extra time. They owned the game and deserve to progress. ...and Chelle is never an issue. Tactically he got it right, especially in the first half but execution is the problem. He gave Lookman, Iwobi, and Chuks, freedom to roam and dictating the play but the team couldn’t convert chances that came up in the first half. We too dey overrate these lads on this board. The earlier we accept Nigeria is parading very average players the better. Some are claiming we have midfielders and Uche is being mentioned?! Same Uche that is glued to bench at Crystal Palace?! We are parading bunch of bench warmers or players that their careers have nosedived, yet we expect them to play well?! NFF should clear all their allowances, then free most of them. Chelle should be allowed to assemble a new team as soon as possible. |

MetalJigsaw:My brother that where the problem begin from the very blast of the whistle, The coach got two things wrong, 1, the CB pairing, he should had maintained the pairing of Benny and Bassey, 2, The striker should had be maintained too, Amor and Osimhen, so Victor doesn't get isolated upfront, I also nothing something, and it goes to all of US here that had been shouting about the midfield, what had the midfield 3 gave us yesterday?? Apart from the goal ![]() From the blast of the whistle, the Coach got it wrong with that selection, don't watch the second half, never had to and thanks to NEPA for seizing light, if not, na one correct headache for woza me ![]() |

Bro I kept dreaming that we replayed the match and we still didn't win... 😔 This loss go mess with me for sometime sha. But where has Éric Chelle got any blame in all these? Now people are shouting that why didn't he play 4-4-2? The same people who were shouting "is 4-3-3 dead in football?" Chelle got his formation and selection perfect in this game, the players were just complacent and confused on the pitch. It's safe to say without Osimhen, the Super Eagles cannot function. So now every game he didn't play up to 50 mins at least, we didn't manage to win one in the entire qualifying process? Akor and Tolu disappeared, no single shot from 2nd half to the the 2nd half of extra time. The one chance Tolu got he headed it upwards. We played bad and this is NOT on Chelle. I pity the man in all these, why can't these players turn up for their coach and themselves? Why? Nwabali saved a last minute shot, saved two penalties and players still decided to miss more than he saved. BROOO 🤦🏾♂️... I can't move on from this anytime soon. I just dey look sha 😐 |

Semi Ajayi had no business starting this game. Did not know why Eric Chelle played him. Made things difficult for Benjamin Fredricks. He keep sending out long ball to the opponent , recycling attacks on our back line. Its time to get that long throw specialist, Kayode Michael. |

Nwabali if yoj are reading this, God will bless you for keeping us in the game…both during the game and on penalties, you are a very calm goal keeper that tries to reduce pressure, dont mind any yeye person saying over confidence bla bla bla…the last save you made before the penalty shows you are big game goalkeeper….your players let you down when you keep giving us hope in the PK shootout.. i know penalties is anyones game, however i expected Strikers and DM,to take penalties…Akor,Tolu,Onyeka,Ejuke…coach for sub in Ekong, tyats the only confident pk defender taker. Though we were totally outplayed from the second half till the extra-time…bassey,benjamin and Nwabali kept us till the shootout |

So many matches iwobi has failed to delivered and he's always in the match day squad. That guy is one of the biggest culprit of failure in our team. As long as we continue to use iwobi in that midfield the team will never go places. We need rugged players. Is a shame the coach did not invite uche.. uche would have even do well in that attack more than Tolu. I have never rated that tolu guy |

Samueltemi337:bro let’s not b sentimental chelle is the man, it’s unfortunate he was outplayed…i really dont know the boys fell like pack of cards, i really dont know how they allowed congo build confidence… bro lets remove sentiment and anger, if chelle had even picked up from jpes after our first 2 draws i dont see him losing away to Benin and maybe playing draw with SA, but he would have learnt his lesson and defeated zimbabwe in uyo…walai with that SA deduction we for don qualify direct tay tay…he only lost in Pk shootout, he is still unbeaten in 90mins as super eagles coach…even in 120 mins |
