Kudos to Nwabali but for those saying he turned up yesterday; what if that 88th selfish pass he tried to play to Benjamin entered goal? What would have been your reaction today? Make una take am easy. That team need a SERIOUS overhaul. |

Una tried though ,I was even rooting for you to win in the last 3 games, especially the Benin match . But like I said weeks ago, individualism will be the end of you. A man can certainly lead a team, but he can never be the team. A team vs a shining star. Unity vs individualism. Well done Congo. |

semid4lyfe:oga wetin you dey talk na, if we had xavi iniesta and busquet, drc would be trashed. You guys will be hyping average teams because super eagles are underperforming, super eagles sold the game, Ethiopia beat this Drc month ago, Senegal came from two goal to beat this people, they are not good, we just messed up abeg, we played very badly. Iwobi number one culprit |

9JAMac10:LMAO . Here we go. Narcissism strikes again. And I can bet you think Nigerians are loving and respectful of other Africans and are deserving of their love ,respect and support? ![]() Put up a topic on first page about anything positive from other African countries and go through the comments. And that's just on nairaland where almost everyone is Nigerian...now go and do that on Twitter or YouTube and you'll see your "loving and supportive people " display their envy, ignorance and pompous nature . And when others hit back....you suddenly suffer from amnesia . Funny people. |

QueenJazz:we played trash yesterday… all this hyping of drc , just watch how Iran or South Korea without any physical strength with give them 3-0 easily.. Nigeria was trash yesterday, like didn’t mark, we didn’t position to receive ball, just playing back passes, even with our trash we got penalties… Physicality is good o, but it’s 30 percent in modern football, brain will always win. Too bad our brains like Iwobi, Simon, Chukwueze, look man decided to be absolute trash… Drc are at best very average. |

Some players are not national team material. A player can do so well at the club-side level but fail woefully in the national team. The last time I remember Wilfred Ndidi delivering a masterclass was our World Cup Qualifiers against Cameroon in Uyo. Remembered he played alongside Onazi and Mikel in midfield. Another player who is not a national team player is Iwobi. Another is Tolu. I was gaslighted on this thread when I also said Boniface will struggle in the green-white-green. Not all players are national team players |

This thread is well known among sports enthusiasts, players, coaches, and the NFF. Even Eric Chelle visits this thread. On this thread, AE saw and implemented the formation against Ghana in 2022. On this thread, we would show our coaches and the NFF the way forward for Nigerian football. The time is right for us to suggest quality players who we know can improve the team. immediately, as the AFCON is upon us. |

When I remember how super falcons fought from a 2-0 down in wafcon final... To win it I always respect those ladies, because I always wonder what super eagles would do if it were them Regardless of whatever NFF does I will never spare these players... It's one thing to lose a match and another thing to be leading, then conceed, and can't even play penalties to save yourselves after a shambolic performance, even after your goalkeeper helped you save 2 penalties Ohh my what a shame, let me hear anybody say Chelle name See the goal we conceded, ndidi could not clear out that ball, See the rubbish penalties, so make coach come teach you how to play penalties ... The fact that these players practiced penalties during training Oooh my God... Disgrace I wish women could play football for men... I dare say falcons will never loose that match The fact that those ladies are not even treated better like the super eagles I WILL FOREVER RESPECT SUPER FALCONS |

One strong attribute of Nwabali is his specialty for delivering a master class in penalty shootouts. I reiterated this fact before the last AFCON tournament. At best, he should be second choice, coming late into games when it is time for penalty shootouts. Remember Aiyenugba and Enyeama during the heydays of Enyimba. We have seen enough of him between the sticks. |

[quote author=TheGoodJoe post=137504954]Wa lahi. This one touched me. get mind o to cry for the eagles 😂 someone even posted that two elderly people in his area had to be rushed to hospital around 11pm! I hail those who deployed so much emotions for the eagles. Me I had my dinner before the match, was in night gown and was on my bed after the game in fact it was on my bed I was posting on this thread last night! My heart goes out to everyone one experiencing such heartbreaking moments. I hope the players see such videos and understand how their shitty play affects many Nigerians. |

Karlovych:Bro it's terrible. See some people complaining about Osimhen's availability. Omo, human beings especially Nigerians are fickle and ungrateful. This guy gave it his all. Osasu Obayuwana said Osimhen has unquestionable commitment to the Super Eagles. All it took is just one loss and the man who was a hero has become a villain. Palm Sunday. One week later - crucifixion. |

There was an imbalance in defense yesterday. Eric Chelle had no business altering the right combination of Fredrick and Bassey. Ajayi clearance was like adding fuel to fire. I pitied the young lad at right back yesterday, he was constantly under threat and pressure. He would have played Awaziem at right back as he is good defensely and also good on the ball. He is also good at delivering the right crosses. RB- Awaziem LB- Sanusi CB- Bassey CB- Fredricks |

Iwobi o Simon o Ndidi o, out of the national team. Apart from NFF, some players too must receive sticks. Do you know what finals are? Just one game, we had just one game to win AFCON, we were a goal up, we choked embarrassingly, just one game to lift a trophy, you let your opponent run around like you were ball boys, you loose possession, you don’t mark, Iwobi did not mark one runner through out, he didn’t win any ball, no turnover, no through ball, no blocked shots, no shot at goal… One game against Ghana in Abuja One game against Ivory Coast One game against DRC Mikel and Moses, with Onazi, will pull out this wins 2/3. This set of players have very weak and lackadaisical personalities, plus mentality and I want them out, most of them, let’s start from scratch, while also kicking out all NFF members out too, Infact let’s get banned from football. What are we going to AFCON to do? Out under 17, 20, 23 all suffering, what are we going to AFCON to do, talkless of World Cup? |

Arizoner:Lookman played very well for his fatherland and reason why he won APOTY,yes he is not in form...go and watch last Afcon and tell me Lookman lacking passion....I will pick Calvin Bassey over Osimhen talking about players ratings during Afcon and WC qualifiers abi Bassey na local. |

Sarsaparilla524:Awaziem would have been exposed badly yesterday, Chelle got it right with his four man defence, the pressure damn too much cuz Iwobi and Ndidi were off |

Dannyxy:This current team get too overwhelmed as the stakes become higher. They are bad finishers and can’t fight for too long. It shows in the way we concede late goals. This is where the most senior and experienced members of the team should be held responsible and we all know who they are |
