Simon makes his debit and scores for Levante

So Moses Simon is now Simon Kjaer

At least u have admitted that there have been improvement but now u can't come and say he changed his position because that is not true. This is the same striker position that he has been playing, he paired with Bony and Aguero at City so this is nothing new.

Iheanacho did not get criticisms at Manchester City except mostly playing time. His conversion rate was superb even under Guardiola.

The criticism came in the National team and Leicester City where I hammered on the team play and role.

The cannot trap, cannot pass, cannot cross etc was at Leicester City, which was not true.

If Nacho played up top, the criticism would have been here today. In a deeper role, people can see the ability is still there. Not that Puel coached it into him.

Finito.

I think it's an own goal awarded to kjaer.

When I saw the 6-1 scoreline at about 64 mins, has to switch channels, so can't really say.

Not a hype. His work rate is phenomenal but he is a poor finisher. He has the instincts but lack that killer touch.

Concerning the stats, it falls to the system of play, just like the reliance of the team keeping possession at the back than the usual clearance or how many passes the goalkeeper makes than the amount of saves.

Gabriel Jesus does a lot for the team which does a lot in helping us win back possession in fast time.

I think the finishing will come with time.
which time?

How many chances has he created? It is this same work rate some people use to defend Ighalo and his poor goals return. Is Jesus a DM? If people like Kanye are praised for work rate, they will still add a supposed forward?

Iheanacho's poor touch was the worst kept secret on this thread how can you even start denying that. You can even watch how comfortable Musa is at controlling the ball, I noticed that against Argentina in the friendly and he was not even playing at the time.

Nacho played up top na abi you watched a different match?

J.Obi better than Agbo? Agreed sir. But far better?
Icon4s:

But Ogu and Joel have been in the Super Eagles long long before any one even knew an Agbo existed some where. Super Eagles didnt start with Rohr.

At the second bolded, see I don't condone mediocrity, and I dont apply sentiments when I rate a player. Uche Agbo does not have the kind of ability to become a regular in the SE.

I have followed that boy since he played U20 under John Obu. Just like I dont also rate Mikel Agu despite how he was hyped here until he started playing and we saw what he is capable or not Capable of. And as for the last bolded. Though Joel Obi's delivery seems to have diminished due largely to long injury lay offS, but he is currently still far better than Uche Agbo.

Uche Agbo treated unfairly? Tell me which Midfield player that made the WC team that he could have displaced.

As I said, a big part of our game is keeping possession. Guardiola believes he who has the ball controls the game. So a striker who can do much defending is a big part of the system just as a goalkeeper can pass the ball and keep it.

So the yardstick of judging performance has multiple indices than just goal scored and created.

Is it not the same Iheanacho that took down the ball with so much grace and control to score that wonderful curler in the game against Mexico that shot him into prominence?

I always said that was a myth. Iheanacho struggles to control ball under pressure. Not that he is poor controlling it. That was a big myth.

A larger percentage of them still say these things and that he is even better than Mbappe.

BascoVanVeli:

A lot of them still question selling Nacho for Gabriel and they still say he is better than Rashford.

I agree with all and must add too that Gabby J also beats Nacho when it comes to workrate. I hope Nacho keeps working hard on that part of his overall play. His work rate. He worked hard yesterday, yes, but he just have to become more consistent with that.

But it is clear that in the art of goalscoring, Nacho is on another level compared to Gabby J. No debates.

ChrisKels:

For once, I never bought into Gabrael Jesus and Gabriel Berbosa (Gabbigol) hypes. When people were insulting KC because of Jesus, I was just SMH. I thank God say breeze dun dey blow to reveal fowl yansh. U wan tell me say if KC was surrounded by the plethora of creative players City has now, he wouldn't be the highest goal scorer in the EPL. He has better predatory instinct as a 9, better accuracy with his strikes and passes, better positioning(he never guessed wrong where to expect the final ball to score, reason some ignoramus called him a tap in marchant), he also tries to work for the team. The only thing Jesus does better than Kelechi is dribbling due to his quick feet. If tapping-in was such an easy thing to do, Jesus would have been praised to the high heavens. But unfortunately, he doesn't have that KC's super positioning sense to tap in. I still remember KC's goal against Celtic that was reminiscent to what he did yesterday, thats what true strikers do.

Iheanacho was mostly lost in the game. The only 2/3 times he was really noticed were when once or twice he came back to d midfield to pick the ball and then when he rattled d upright.

Lots of Action in Europe for our Nigerian players....

Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma had a goal and an assist in Club Brugges 4-0 win away at KAA Gent. He played for 71 mins and was subbed by Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure.

Awoniyi didn't start but got subbed in on 68 mins. That J.David kid started as the no.9.

Okonkwo Orji subbed in on 68 mins in his team's (Bologna's) 2-0 lead over Roma. Game still on.

Sadiq Umar not in matchday squad for Rangers. What is happening to Umar at Rangers? This is the upmteenth time he is being left out.
