Awaziem has also the credit of not been dribbled through throughout the tournament, Omeruo has several man of the match performances under his belt

Ekong underwhelmed but that does not mean that our whole defence was trash

I think you are being delusional go and watch the Algeria game and see how many times he was left for dead by the Algerians he was nearly yellow carded in the first 10 minutes and the referee gave him a verbal warning.

Awaziem was the weakest link IMO.

I don't know where it is written in our constitution that ministers must be ex governors, senators or party loyalists! ..Its one of the things killing this country... Incompetent people who have close to zero experience in their assigned portfolio are running the affairs of this country..

Well in Nigeria and when it comes to Nigerian brand of politics, you must be a politician or close to them to be acknowledged.

Been like this for more than 30yrs o

awaziem was solid throughout the competition,he is one of the players that impressed me so much. the likes of tiago silva, ramos, pique, bonucci, chillieni, van dyke etc are rated as the best defenders in the world but they still gets turned in and out by attackers but that doesn't rub off their qualities and artistry in marshaling the defense line.

for a natural centre back who was slotted in the rb position which is unfamiliar to him at the heat of a big competition as the afcon and he did pretty well shows his level of confidence and exposure have improved. i just pray he leaves porto permanently

People do change bro. Moses was having attitude problems back when he was still playing regularly at Chelsea.
But now that his career has regressed, there's a high chance that he'd changed for psychological reasons.
When most players do display such attitudes is usually when they are flying high in their club sides and/or playing in big clubs.

Remember that Mikel, at a point in his career also had the same issues but what happened thereafter?

you have a point. And I agree

As for Mikel case,it's attitude changed due to d fact dt he was giving more responsibility (captaincy)

Meanwhile for vicmo,I think he's done with d national team, besides he has achieved d pinnacle success any Nigerian player can achieve with d national team, 2worldcup appearance, won nations cup,so what else cos realistically,d only trophy left for him he can achieve now is d world cup trophy,wc am not cin us lifting d world cup in d next 20years,except if d Europeans/S.Americans won't b participating sha, deres nothing to look up to in terms of success in d national team as far as vicmo is concerned(he has seen it all),@ d national team level

And for his club,he's still playing for a big club,so I don't c dt as a regress in his career, considering his age.... My tots anyway.

Gernor Rohr Speaks On Dumping Super Eagles For Morocco

Jul 23, 2019

Super Eagles Head coach, Gernot Rohr, has noted that he is still under contract with the Nigeria Football Federation and therefore, dismissed the speculations linking him with Morocco and Gabon.

The Morocco national team is looking for a new coach after the Atlas Lions handler, Herve Renard failed to guide them past the second round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles Coach denied the report that he had made contact with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

Rohr during an interview with Sportinglife.ng said, “Though I’ve heard the rumours that Morocco wanted me, the truth is that nobody has contacted me about any job; I also heard that people in Gabon are also thinking about me”.

“But I cannot even negotiate with another country because I still have a binding contract with Nigeria.”

“Of course, it is an honour to be mentioned than for no country to want you at all but I’m still under contract. I still have a one year contract with Nigeria.”

“I think everybody saw the good job being done here in Nigeria whereby we came from being number 11 to become number three in Africa.”

New Aubameyang' Nets Maiden Goal For Club Brugge Ahead Of Season Opener

allnigeriasoccer.com

'New Aubameyang' Nets Maiden Goal For Club Brugge Ahead Of Season Opener
New Club Brugge signing David Okereke netted his maiden goal for the Belgian club as they beat Sporting CP on penalties in a pre-season game on Friday evening.

The Nigeria U23 international, whose playing style has drawn comparisons to Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, broke the offside trap before slotting into the Sporting CP goal in the 15th minute.

Okereke was in fine form for Spezia throughout last season which earned him a summer move to Club Brugge who paid a club record fee of eight million euros to secure his services.

He was denied three times by goalkeeper Ribeiro before the game went to a shootout to decide the winner.

The two teams could still not be separated after five penalties each and it was Okereke who scored the winning penalty in sudden death.

Everything is pointing to the fact that the 21-year-old will make his competitive debut for Club Brugge when they take on Waasland-Beveren on match day one of the Belgian First Division A this coming Saturday at the Freethielstadion.

Ode does one play 99 matches in a season? Do Marcolino scored 20goals for Angers in 99matches. No Tanzanian player can boast of such feat.

As a DMF, Moise played 83matches for Brest scoring 5 goals in the ligue1. Again no Tanzanian player can boast of such record.

Levy Madinda contributed his quota in ensuring that Celta got back to Laliga. Again no Tanzanian player can boast of a minute in a league as good as the segunda. So I reiterate, in all ramifications, Gabon had better players than Tanzania just paraded. QED
M
The only exception was Samatta

He did not score 20 goals prior to the AFCON and all the goals were scored in lowly Ligue 2. That's poor for a CF. Snapshot 1

Mouse only played 30 games in Ligue 1 a season before the AFCON season but prior to the AFCON, he could not play a single. The rest were in Ligue 2. Obscure league.

Levy Madinda didn't play a single match for Celta Vigo that season they got promotion to the la Liga. Stop lying. Snapshot 2.

Home based basketball team...The tournament they participated in is the basketball version of CHAN ..they also lost to Kenya and Dr Congo.. U really can't blame them..the feud in the Nbbf has resulted in the basketball league being off for 2 years .so the players are match rusty..

The foreign pro meanwhile are in the Americas preparing for the world cup..they beat Dominican republic in two friendlies in San Domingo
