President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has stated that the Nigeria Football Federation intends to contest the decision of the Confederation of African Football CAF to subtract the points of the CHADIAN national team that withdraws from the ongoing 2017 AFCON qualifiers when the points should have been added up.Pinnick told footballlive.ng that the decision has put Nigeria and the group in an unfair position as far as best losers spot in the qualifiers is concerned and that Nigeria will have no other option than to explore the option of involving the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
The FA chief, however, said he will meet with the CAF President Issa Hayatou first to make known Nigeria’s position on the case on ground.
