it would seem that they (members of the current administration) find this as the only diversionary move that will be worthy enough to
take our attention from the palpable failures recorded by the current administration.

While just about all Nigerians believe (with no proof) that GEJ must have ended up with amounts of government money in his personal coffers, we all believe the same of all other presidents (from IBB downwards).

Knowing very well the nature of our country, it would seem the folks in power really do not care about the stability of the our country, and only care about... POWER .

The fact that they should make this move, announce it somehow also, to me is proof that they have agreed within themselves that they are failing and probably cannot turn things around on time enough to get the grumbling people off their backs. Thus the surrendered resorting to the pursuit of this end.

If indeed the PDP wrecked Nigeria over the last 16 years, why isn't OBJ being brought in for questioning.
But that is even going too far. American participants in the Haliburton scandal have already been found guilty
and sent to jail. How come their Nigerian counterparts with whom they committed the crimes they committed
are allowed to go free (as sacred cows).

It would seem the scope of this administration's capacity to think does not go beyond the craving to execute their vindictive desires on the las administration and that indeed, even if there is bloodshed and instability, it does not matter so long as power is retained by them and people can stop calling for their heads.

Anyway, we believe our creator is watching. One of the lessons a GEJ arrest will teach many Nigerian political leaders (and many African political leaders also) is that it is stupid to act as GEJ did. That they must win elections at all costs - that victory at the polls is a do-or-die affair.
That indeed the Yoweri Musoveni of Uganda and Robert Mugabe of Zambia present the right models. The models that actually ensure the protection of the political office holder.

Whereas engaging in sharp practices while in office is bad and illegal, we also know that trying to arrest GEJ right now is a STUPID, STUPID thing to do right now, and will not bring any good to Nigeria.[/size]
