Olajide Olatunbosun, a member of the House of Representatives (APC, Oyo) has told Nigerians who to attack for the current fuel scarcity. The Nation reports that the lawmaker told Nigerians to transfer their anger to independent oil marketers popularly known as the “cabals” for the current suffering being experienced in the country due to fuel scarcity. Olatunbosun, who is a member of committee on appropriation revealed that the removal of petroleum subsidy in January 2016 was responsible for the refusal of the marketers to import fuel into the country. The lawmaker explained that the current hardship is against the backdrop of the effect of the marketers to import commodity into the country. He said the present predicament is a calculated move by the marketers aimed at compelling the government to rescind its earlier decision on subsidy payment. Olatunbosun further noted that government cannot agree to the marketers demand because it may be inimical to the interest of Nigerians.
