Since the investigation into the $2.1billion arms deal blew open, big shots in government during the Goodluck Jonathan-led administration are being interrogated. The arrowhead of this scandal is the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd.) who has been in detention since December 2015. Though the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has said Goodluck Jonathan can only be summoned on President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, there are indications that Jonathan may be invited by the anti-graft agency. A chieftain of the People's Democratic Party and former minister of aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode raised the alarm earlier today via his Twitter account that, "The greatest blunder and strategic error that the Buhari government can ever make is to arrest Goodluck Jonathan(@GEJonathan) for no just cause. Mark it."

They only invited Tompolo and since then we have not had light because all the gas that powers turbines has had their pipelines blown up and now he wants to go after GEJ!! This timke you won't be contending with tompolo alone but the entire force of MEND.Be that as it may I don't really think Buhari would be so stupid as to provoke any unrest in the Niger-delta at this critical time the economy is virtually dying

Fighting battles on too many fronts concurrently portrays intellectual insolvency. Buhari has enough uncooked broth in his hand already, he should not cripple the economy further by means of a deadly backlash (arms insurrections) that will inevitably follow in the oil-producing region. Buhari needs to listen to wise counsel for his own good.
