The Mobile Revolution is here already. And in fact, by 2014 more people will be accessing the web using their mobile device more than on a computer! As you will have noticed the tablets are already becoming more user friendly for accessing the internet and their market share have overtaken that of the computer in the second quarter of this year.

To bring that home…, an Information Technology expert, Mr. Matthew Dawes, predicted that mobile telephone penetration in Nigeria would reach 82 per cent by 2015. Well, he is not far from the truth by all stats available, as at the Google event in 2012, we saw that Nigeria internet user density has gone beyond 60% and has been referred as the fasted growing market in Africa.

Mr. Dawes, who is the Managing Director of All Amber Communications, made the above prediction in Lagos at the opening of a two-day conference tagged "Mobile Web West Africa 2012".
According to him, the market penetration of mobile is growing rapidly as about 90 million out of 158 million Nigerians now use mobile telephones. ``Across the continent, the mobile web and applications opportunity continued to have profound effect on all echelons of society,'' Dawes added.
