After chipping in with IGTVand Video Chat features, Instagram, the photo, and video-sharing social networking company added another feather to its cap by adding music to the stories section.
As a user, you can add a soundtrack to your Instagram story that fits and helps you express how you’re feeling exactly.
With its 1 billion user base and 400 million active users of Stories feature, Instagram’s new featureis undoubtedly going to get bigger.
After adding the song to the story, your followers will hear the song playing as they’re viewing your photo or video. They’ll also see a sticker showing the song title and artist name.
As reported, the music library of Instagram has currently thousands of songs and artists like Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, and Guns N’ Roses.
Here are the steps that will help you to add a music file to your next story:
*.Launch the Instagram app.
*.Shoot your story that you want to get displayed in the Stories section.
*.When you tap to add a sticker to a photo or video in Stories, you’ll now see a music icon.
*.Select the music icon to unleash thousands of tracks.
*.Select the track by browsing by mood, genre or what’s popular.
*.Once picked, play button to hear a preview.
*.You can fast-forward and rewind through the track to choose the exact part that fits your story.
*.If done, simply add the tack to your story, and you are good to go.
You can also choose a song before capturing a video. When you open the camera, swipe to the new “Music” option under the record button. Search for a song, select the exact part you want, and record a video as the song plays in the background.
The option of choosing a song before capturing a video is only available on iOS right now. The company has notified that the Android users will soon get this option.
Sadly, Instagram has rolled out the new feature in selected countries only. Relying on a report by TechCrunch, few of the countries include Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Sweden, the UK, and the US.
