my laptop goes off when the battery status is still around 85% - 90%, behaving as if the battery is empty, pls, am open to suggestions

Your battery is definitely dead,go and get a new one.

There is no other solution for a dead battery yet. Unless you can convince us that it is a new battery.

the battery is just barely over a year, there must be a solution

The diagnostics i want to give you just wont stay here dont know why this my second time of typing it am tired now just try this trick for now

Let the battery run flat

disconnect your charger+battery

press and hold down the power button (30seconds)

Then let go

connect battery +charger let it charge for 1hr

Then test: if this work then it might be a static build up If no joy then we need to run battery check very simple to do just let us know how you get on good night
