Samsung, Skool Media and Federal Ministry of Education to Digitalize Classrooms. This post is about more support and partnership for the Skool Media project.

What does this mean? Greater ability to reach more students and have more far-reaching impact in schools. It is from the official press release.

Who are the partners? Samsung Electronics West Africa, Skool Media and the Federal Ministry of Education.

What is the aim of the partnership? To digitalize classrooms. This will enhance mobile learning across unity schools in Nigeria, providing students with the opportunity to have their classrooms literally in their palms.

What does it entail? Digitalized classrooms across 104 unity schools in Nigeria whereby Samsung tablet devices are paired with relevant and applicable educational content customised with Skool Media content.

There is more. The classrooms will also be kitted with Samsung Electronic Boards, Wireless Printers and wireless connectivity. With these in place, what do you have? “Smart classrooms” where learning is practical, fun, progressive and impactful.

Project Director, Skool Media, Moses Imayi said “A lot of Nigerian students are not familiar with new learning tools such as tablets, electronics boards and even accessing appropriate educational content online and the purpose of this partnership is to change that mindset, among students and the teachers. This we believe will be the beginning of better performing educational system in Nigeria. Through this project, we are building the IT competence of the next generation of leaders and providing employment opportunities to over 200 young Nigerian graduates.”
At Skool Media, we are excited about this partnership. Knowledge is power. Digitalising education is putting power in the right hands.
