Religion is man's efforts at reaching God. Hence it is characterized by rigidity, fear, alms giving, and routine. True Christianity, on the other hand, is relationship based. It is characterized by love, faith, God's leading, joy, confidence, and peace. Is religion a thing of the mind? Yes! Religion stems from the mind, but Christianity is by regeneration of the human spirit - Inward revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ, otherwise known as New Birth.
