Pick pockets go full dat bridge like say tomorrow no dey

Those pick pockets go dey tank dese KAI officials for dis wonderful opportunity

My thoughts exactly. Ojota is already notorious for pickpockets and petty thiefs. They will surely thank the authorities for this golden opportunity

Too bad.

I experienced something similar some years back at Oshodi.

Trust me, the experience was horrifying.

I just travelled into Lagos by road, was carrying my hand luggage while safe-guarding my pockets at the same time. And I had plenty of cash on me. People pushing me from all sides.
I had been away from Lagos then for over 5years. Me way dem born and grow for Lagos come begin do like JJC. Everybody around me became a pick-pocket suspect.

Na God save me that day.

Government should construct under ground tunnels in places like that.

Underground tunnels. We can't maintain the overhead ones. How do We provide LIGHT and security UNDERGROUND. I no follow oh

It is only in Nigeria that people will prefer to cross under the bridge than to climb, we see people been hit by vehicle near a pedestrian bridge but we will still prefer to cross. Nigerians like shortcuts and it is the basis of the country's problem. Until people start doing things the normal way even though we have saints as our leaders things will not grow as a nation. The state government should carry out a structural test on the bridge to avoid calamity as the bridge is used to the load of people buying and selling on it. Am sure some people will say the government is wicked for forcing them to use the bridge. People like to be force to do the right thing. I hope the government can maintain this enforcement to put the culture of using the bridge to the minds of the users
Have you being on that ojota bridge before with a load of 15-20kg on both hands or imagine an old lady or man trying to use it. The solution provided with that bridge that should just be for two traffic suddenly becoming four ain't totally cool but trust Nigerians we go survive am

precisely! The problem with you nigerians. Not only you risked your life crossing from the wrong way you also violated common rule. And you had the audacity to call your corrupt soldier friend to free you. Nigeria will never never ever ever do better with the likes of you and your soldier friend and you even thinks its funny by LOLing about it, shame on you

If you had got ran over by an on coming vehicle i bet you would blame the Devil, and your soldier friend? Will he rescue you then? Shame on you again

Some of you are already worrying about how strong the bridge is. Nigerians do not even trust the strenght of their own inftrastructure. Only because nigerians are not used to crossing the road the appropriate way, they are not used to following and obeying common rule.

If they are used to crossing the pedestrian brigde they would'nt be worrying about it's not being strong enough.

i was new in lagos and I had never heard about the law. I even crossed right in front of those man o war guys. thats to tell you how unaware I was. even when he held me, I was asking him what for. getting to the office with them, they demanded bribe to free my self. I rather called my friend than pay him. next time you are mentioning someone, add a little respect in your tone. or at best; keep away. if you met me on ground and directed all those diatribes at me in a matter I didn't invite you to comment on, one person out of me and you will go to the hospital and the other to police station. be wise. mind your business.

Buhahahaha, my experience was terrible, you need to see how me and the KAI official was doing dodging fire, if I move left he will as well, if I go right he'll go right too, he was standing in my front trying to apprehend me as I come, and someone ws waiting for at the gate to pick me up, it wasn't funny oo, to cut story short I had to pay 2500 so they won't throw me inside their black maria

I remembered the last time a refused to use that pedestrian bridge, 4 KAI officers were coming towards me like a clever tiger not sensing that I am also at alert like a sensitive Zebra. I was going towards the park to board Ikeja, they also pretended going to the park, I just back up, 2 of them also did, I put myself in reverse and used style to jog towards 7up. The guys were coming after me before they later gave up.

Thank God I was not caught, cos I didn't have a dime on me save for my TP. I trekked to 7up then trekked back to Kudirat Abiola way before I got Ikeja from there. Lesson learnt.

Thanks for the observation I work around the area and I understand what you mean but don't you think it is better you stress yourself within the few minutes you will climb the bridge and be safe than using the shortcut and few the pains for a long time
