After the china (Yuan) break through for Nigeria, now they resort to blackmail and threat. The pressure on the dollar will definite drop thus killing their campaign for official devaluation.

1. China is nigeria's largest in partner, round tripping to buy a costly dollar to change for the yuan would lead to to losses for the nigerian economy

2. A new business model of buying the yuan and converting to dollars to sell here at a higher price would by law of diminishing returns reduce the black market price hereby correcting it.

3. If nigeria is leading this move of easy yuan access in africa the entire african state would prefer to deal more with yuan than the dollar leading to less demand and lesser dollar value.

I never expected this move but as it is the nigerian president could just have engineered the fall of the US state.

P.S this is just an economic analysis and not political propaganda.

Sorry madam IMF

Next thing the IMF will do is make our situation worse than is now, until the Nigerian masses go to the street to protest against the government. Then, both IMF, USA, world bank, would say ''I told you so''. Then, they would start funding stooge opposition party to bring down the Buhari government. They'll not rest until Buhari succumb to pressure to take their loan or they over-throw him. That's how they operate.

This's no conspiracy theory. It has been used in Argentina, Russia, Iran, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, e.t.c, e.t.c.

Honestly am not too scared, what scares me is how divided Nigerians are in terms of religion and ethnicity, this is what the west can take advantage of to wreck us. But if we can just forget about last year elections and stand with PMB, the west won't succeed.

Evil woman. The worst mistake Buhari will make is to listen to this woman. They are unhappy about the agreement with China on Yuan currency and have started the propaganda war with CNN dedicating so much time on Chigbogu Girls and Boko Haram to make us look bad.

She was sent here recently with the same agenda by the West to force PMB to devalue the Naira, when it failed they are now on propaganda mission; the same kind of propaganda they used in hoodwinking the Arabs to destroy their stable countries such as Libya and Syria with 'Freedom and Democracy' led by Hillary Clinton which the Arabs who are now refugees in Europe are regretting today.

Greece and Portugal are in serious financial crisis, why is IMF not asking that the Euro should be devalued because of Greece?

By now, nigerians should have the wise enough to know that IMF is an evil western institutions. What they try to do is to force 3rd world country in to debt they cannot repay so that that they can sell all the national wealth to western companies. Have you wondered why they have privatisation of phcn took place, have u wonder why they are pushing for privatisation of the oil sector and other part of our economy.

You don't need to be an economist to see the obvious. Only a fool would tell me that they can't see the evil work of IMF

ask yourself again, why is she saying this now? That is becos nigeria have now decided to dump the dollars for Chinese yaun. This means, the IMF evil work have fail.they want to put nigeria into serious poverty condition.thank God buhari is wise enough to know this.they are also scare that other African countries will follow as well. This in the long run will completely destruct the western economy.

My point here is that each time a country is about to make a right move to develop herself, IMF have a way of saying that doing it will have grave implications. Take a look at the exchange rate.who is IMF to tell us to devalue our money. There are hidden agenda when IMF give advice to 3rd world countries.

Look at the Western countries economy, why did IMF not go and meet them to to devalue the euro, dollar etc. Even despite that their economy is in complete mess.

my point here is never to listen to IMF.they are there to serve the intrest of western countries

And you really think he won't?

Buhari should have bluffed the West to get better negotiations rather than making an irreversible deal with the Asians.

Military men don't bluff - they make threats and then execute them. Unfortunately his actions will back fire on the masses - who will eventually as we are seeing turn on him!

Don't worry IMF in three to five years time they will come round to realise. The black man is typically slow in their up take, the Nigerian even worse when you throw the usual ethno-sectional spanner in the works. Suffering is their usual means of learning, not history nor 'worked examples'.

Devaluation of any currency has advantages and disadvantages bt with the best brains in an economy devaluation works and that's why is the last resort in dis situation.

Lagarde is good and that's why she occupies that position.

He shld have asked the Chinese government how they handled their currency devaluation wen ever they do so.

Kemi knows nothing, Emefiele is docile while the president is adamant to take advice wen he failed economics.

No strong economic team.

Mr. Joe Stiglitz (an American) was a former world bank chief economist, and he didn't like what was going on between the IMF, world bank and poor countries. After all efforts to get his organization to change their exploitative ways of doing business, he was fired. Then, he went to the press.
