Most of the equipment used by Boko Haram came from NATO supplies to Libya rebels to depose Gaddafi. Obama has declared that Libya intervention is his worst mistake in life.

Dis South African MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambusj Protected)vehs no de effective lik d ones we bought frm China. Well its ok so long our boys no die sha.
I still dnt bliv in der products (nt hating jst want d best frm Naija). We can manufacture somthin better dan dis if & only if we start looking inwards. Lik developing d IGIRIGI to an MRAP standard.

This is really funny! yu were hit by IDE and yu had time to pose and take a good shot pix, no real damage to the truck. This is the real joke of the century. everything has turned nilly-willy in my country.

Can the battle against the deadly insurgents get any tougher? A REVA Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) belonging to Nigerian soldiers -was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) during clearance operation in the northern part of the country as depicted in the pictures. None of the soldiers were hurt in the incident. May God continue to protect these gallant men....

This are men, unlike those of us that sit behind laptops and phones on Nairaland to drop bombs. May God win this battle for Nigeria.

That soldier standing their and smiling should thank the likes of Beegeagles Blog etc who mounted pressure on the Govt to consider replacing Thin Skinned Toyota Hilux trucks with APCS and LAVs for troop transport (like the Reva in the pix). If not, you wudda been blown to blasés in ya Toyota Hilux like so many of ya colleagues in d early years of the insurgency.
Kudos to the SAs for selling us these livesavers.

Meanwhile, I don like d Black Sweatshirt Kit adopted by the SF Battalion...Black Absorbs Heat, Doesnt look good with Dust, Retains Sweat(most of the fabric I've seen them wear aren't pure cotton), doesnt camouflage well in the desert terrain of the NE, etc.... the military did well in inaugurating a new desert Camo for our Boys, Flak Jackets for all front line troops, Weapons Standardisation, etc...but this black, abeg! Make Dem live am for SSS and Police biko...I saw one clean Brown T-Shirt wearing Soldier in one of their Pics one day...wonder which ppl dey wear am...QRF, NNSBS, DSS, I no know...but e fine.
Long live the Nigerian Military.

your first paragragh says it all. If you search nairaland for Major SK umaru who died in 2013...he was unfortunate to be on patrol in a hilux van in sambisa. He died with his men...........

My bro you are so on point, if not for Oga beegeagleblog and the patriots on that forum, those boys taking pix of the Reva Mrap that absorbed the blast and saved they would have been blasted ass would have been consulting they ancestors in the great beyond now. So stupid as if the scuttled Mrap is a conquest of theirs.
I wonder if the Chinese Mraps would do well as this Reva.
Pity those early boys who took the heavy hits from books with AAA fire power whilst riding on thin skin Toyota hilux vans, so deeming for our Army.
