Coach Kennedy Boboye has declared his delight at having landed a job in the Nigeria senior national team.

The Nigeria Football Federation announced on Wednesday that Boboye, Imama Amapakabo and Salisu Yusuf will take charge of the Super Eagles’ international friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg.

And the tactician who handles Abia Warriors said his dream has always been to handle the national team, and vowed to stick a beautiful brand of attacking football.

“I feel honoured getting a chance to handle the Super Eagles – to be honest, it is a dream come true,” Boboye told Goal.

“This is a reward for my hardwork in the Nigeria Professional Football League and we pray for victory and the wherewithal to change the face of Nigerian football.

“With my coming on board with Imama [Amapakabo] and Salisu [Yusuf], we will ensure things work out and play attractive football.

“Our brand of football has to be offensive and also take the chances that come our way. We have been conceding goals in our recent international matches and that is not good for us too.

“We're going to work hard to be the best we can - that will make Nigerians happy and send a message that our appointment is not a fluke,” he concluded.

The Super Eagles who missed out of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations will take on Mali at the Stade Robert Dichon on May 27 before facing Luxemburg five days later as they look to get a formidable team for the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
