Manchester United are without Cristiano Ronaldo. and Argentinian Carlos Tevez ,Who had left for Madrid  and Citeh respectively,earlier in this summer.Whether this may affect the team or not, we will see. Man United have been impressive during the preseason with their use of “new” playmaker Michael Owen , as well as the  Wayne Rooney. Anderson and  boy wonder Macheda. Also, the impact of new buy Antonio Valencia cannot be discounted. However, first choice keeper Edwin van der Sar will miss this game and Defender Vidic may miss out due to injury. If Tomasz Kuszczak plays ahead of Ben Foster, goals may be slightly easier to come by.

Chelsea, on the other hand,did not lose any big stars but made an intelligent buy in the person of Russian midfielder Zhirkov, but sacked their manager which is their new style , with new manager  Carlo Ancelotti, Early results with him seem positive, but remember of course that Luis Felipe Scolari also had a great start last season.So did Avram Grant. Both teams will also be keen not to lose to each other. A stalemate  is the most likely outcome and possibly penalties, as both teams will rest key players and allow their youngsters the chance to shine. Chelsea will want to lay down a marker for their challenge in the Premier League while United will want to show they are still the best team in England. While Sunday’s game is only a minor game in a long season, it may give us an insight into where both teams stand in the battle for silverware in season 09/10.

If i were to be a chelski fan, my bitterness towards Man-U would have reduced just because Cr7 has left. It would have been sweeter to mess the mancs in their butts inclusive of that dude.
