Saraki's gamble has failed again. He'd been plotting to stop his case from going into trial, but has failed abysmally. His latest gambit was to stampede Justice Umar to hands off the case. If Umar had been timid to have caved in and disqualified himself from the case, that would mean Saraki would never be prosecuted.

Umar did not ask Saraki for bribe, so why will he disqualify himself ? It is another case that was alleged. So, let saraki face his case first and Umar will face his own on separate court. Or did anyone think all the presiding judges are free from gratification request? From Ricky Tara to ......

Exactly. Umar's issue is still being investigated. He is not legally bound to recuse (withdraw) himself from the Saraki trial. Morality only suggests that Umar withdraws, but morality is never imposed by law. Therefore, it is the legal versus the moral. Carry on Judge, even though it seems you lack good morals.
