It has not been good time for a section of Akwa Ibom State civil servants who lodged their pay point with the State-owned bank - Akwa Savings and Loans Ltd.

Trouble started immediately after the elections of 2015. When govt endeavour to pay salary, the bank will be paying in bits of N10,000.00 irrespective of how much had been credited to your account. That means you have to collect say N50,000 for five days.

As if the foregoing was not enough, they reduce the ration to N5,000.

The last straw that breaks the Camel's back is that since govt had paid March salary, the said back had not been able to pay even one person claiming they don't have money. Even their headquarters along Oron road, Uyo is helpless. As at today, no civil servant banking with them had collected the ration.

The question now is, what happened to the money transferred into the respective accounts of the Civil servants?

2. That govt had not find its voice to condemn this act, is it a sign that it had a hand in the suffering of her workers?
