A former senator Danladi Bamaiyi is dead after struggling with a long time illness,
He died yesterday saturday 30April in Abuja... Danladi who a strong member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he represented Kebbi South district..

An Inside source from the family said, Mr Bamaiyi passed away in the early Saturday morning in Abuja after a long-lasting illness. He was the acting chairman of the Senate Committee on foreign contracts verification between 1999 and 2003.

Incumbent Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, while confirming the sad news prayed
the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker and also condoled the family as well as the people of Kebbi State over his demise..
