It was said that the boy ‘Jani’ ,discovered the security vulnerability on the Instagram app, that the could actually delete other people’s comments if he inputs malicious code into the comment field of the application.
Jani then wrote to Instagram about the technical fault, and got a reply from Instagram that the flaw was fixed, and as a reward, he received 10,000 dollars from Instagram.
According to Jani, he had been crazy about coding games for years. He had been building up his skills on his own with his twin brother.
The Boy’s father said he was surprised that his son had actually learnt so much about coding and data security.
Jani said his dream is to one day become an information security expert in the future. “It would be my dream job; security is really important,’’ Jani said.
