How Dangote Will End Fuel Scarcity – Information Minister, Lai Mohammed Reveals by Nobody: 9:40am On May 07, 2016
Speaking when he visited Rutam House,
headquarters of the Guardian Newspapers in
Lagos, the Minister of Information and
culture, Lai Mohammed, said the problem of
fuel scarcity will become a thing of the past in
the country once the petroleum refinery being
built by Aliko Dangote, the richest man in
Africa, comes on board.

The billionaire mogul’s Dangote Group
Refinery, which is targeting 650,000 barrels
per day, will become operational by 2018.
Lai Mohammed said in addition to preparing
existing refineries for optimal usage,
government would license new investors to
bring in modular refineries that would be
sited close to the existing ones for access to
crude.
He identified diversion of petroleum products
to neighbouring countries as one of the major
reasons for the ongoing scarcity of petrol.
The minister said when the current
administration ended the “corrupt subsidy
regime”, the independent marketers
demanded for their outstanding payments
before they could resume importation.
Mohammed said after government had paid
the marketers over N594 billion subsidy
arrears, they reneged on their promise to be
importing fuel, leaving the task for the
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC) alone.

The awada kerikeri exponent is at his rabble-rousing games again.....Niger Delta is boiling at the moment, he is busy psyching the public of one refinery that will supply over 600,000 bpd when no spokesperson of the refinery is yet to confirm this undecided

He's already failed. In the past weeks, we've witnessed the most persistent fuel scarcity in our history. If that's not failure to you, I don't know what is

i hope dangote will be lifting crude from lake chad basin to refine in his refinery in Lagos.because if he thinks he is going to leave Niger delta to build refinery in Lagos then expect to lift crude in ss,then he must be thinking from his anus.
Does he think Niger deltans are foolish or does he think we dont need the jobs tht the refinery will create more than the already congested Lagos.
we are fully waiting for him to come & lift crude in ss unless he has somewhere else he is planning to get crude from to refine other than ss.
NONSENSE!!!!!

Importation of cement got banned aand cememnt went from 1250 to 1600, importation of rice got banned and rice went from 8k to 16k why isn't the price coming down since we can do it ourselves? This same guy should be able to supply us both with a reduced priced since the borders r closed.

Shame!

They daydreamed for years about turning the country into paradise once they get to office.

They criticized the PDP for not doing anything for 16 years.

Only to come around to shamelessly hope and anchor their failed government's survival on PDP's works without due acknowledgments.

You see your life?, go to IBIS hotel in FESTAC to see how your worthless " my lame la militant " brothers are hawking stolen crude @ buy one get one free.
The question you should be asking is if one man can own a refinery, how much will he need to buy crude from sources like YOUR BROTHERS, and OTHER SOURCES abi you forget say no be only Nigeria crude oil dey?.
Oh e pain you say he built his refinery for Lagos, how many Niger Deltans have build any meaningful business in Niger Delta? Dangote cannot be more Niger Deltan than your fellow militants and politicians now.
The whole world already knows that ND is a hostile business environment, continue to blow and make sure you burn that environment to ashes and still be waiting for foreign investment, grin grin grin that one na your problem, KO KAN AYE.
