Samuel Melaye, Chairman of National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum. Aides of Senators and House of Representatives members under the aegis of National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum, said on Sunday that Samuel, the younger brother of Senator Dino Melaye, should not be imposed on them because they had already elected Mr. Darlington Udeh, as NASSLAF chairman. The group in a statement on Sunday in Abuja by its Public Relations Officer, Mr.Yusuf Bamidele, said Melaye, was not qualified to lead NASSLAF because he had earlier failed to secure a ticket to contest the seat at his geo-political zone level. The lawmakers’ aides also explained that allowing Melaye to lead them would also amount to violation of zoning arrangement in its constitution, because he is from the North Central, the same geopolitical zone, with the out-going chairman, Mahmood Muhammed.
