In politics, the opposition comprises one or more political parties or other organized groups that are opposed to the government. Today, once you make statements that do not go in line with the actions of an administration in power, you have put yourself in opposition with the administration, a feet you can achieve without belonging to any political power.

In Nigeria, corrupt politicians now make pre-emptive statements hoping those words will give them a lifeline when they are being called upon to answer for some illegalities during their period at the helm of affairs. They believe the daily criticism of the government will make people see their debacle with law enforcement agencies as witch-hunt for being a vocal opposition.

My question is: why haven't the law enforcement agencies arrested the below names who have been very vocal against the government of the day?


Oby Ezekwesili

Pat Utomi

Femi Falana

Dele Momodu

etc


That's because they really have no skeleton in their closet and their criticisms are based on genuine love for the nation and not some pre-emptive talk.

So, in essence, the government is not really in any witch-hunt game. They are only after corrupt looters of our national treasury.

People only see what they wanna see. Many Nigerians are so bias and support politicians blindly.
