Yesterday it was reported that the Daily Mail had made serious allegations against the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the Daily Mail, it was alleged that of the President’s declared assets, he had at least £1m in the Bank along with 5 houses and 2 plots of land.

Now according to News Agency Naija Standard, the attack was initiated by powerful political enemies in the hope to seriously discredit Buhari.

The enemies include Madueke Diezani and James Ibori.

You can read the full report written by Samson Shoaga of the Naija Standard Newspaper.

“Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you”-Freidrich NietzscheAS obviously stated by Nietzche, a German philosopher, cultural critic, poet, Latin/Greek scholar whose work exerted a profound influence on Western philosophy and modern intellectual history, corruption is a monster that always fight back at the hunter when the heat is becoming unbearable for the hunted.

Freidrich Nietzsche is a man I've got great respect for. Buhari elected on the platform of fighting corruption is today a corrupt monster terrorizing and sabotaging our economic wellbeing in the guise of fighting corruption while his family and friends enjoy top jobs in CBN and his wife use various fronts to round trip forex.

His 16 year old girl can now afford 2 million naira first class tickets to UK. Freidrich Nietzsche was right cos Buhari has now become the monster he claims to be fighting. The daily mail report captured 60% of how patriotic Nigerians now see buhari.

I love this post by Ahmed Musa Husaini so much that i have to share it. Abridged a bit though, to encourage more readership:

"It is easy to predict the future of this country if you follow discussions on social media. I don't know when and how we ended up with a generation of religious bigots and ethnic chauvinists masquerading as politically active, yet utterly misinformed citizens.

"Whenever religion or ethnicity is mentioned, common sense and logical reasoning are suspended. People no longer think, see or comprehend. Nigerians are not interested in the substance of one's claims or submissions, rather; in the identity of the individual making it.

"Under one Nigeria, a Christian has no right to intervene in a Muslim discourse and a Muslim has no right to intervene in Christian discussions. A northerner has no right to talk about southern problems and a southerner has no right to speak on northern problems. The unwritten rule is: you have the right to speak the truth only about your own, not others.

"We make more efforts promoting division than we make towards unity. We are only good at widening the chasm of distrust and disunity beyond what our collective national unity can withstand.

"But neither our intolerance nor our bigotry are able to solve the problems that inexorably bedevil us: poverty, unemployment, poor infrastructure, insecurity, exploitation and lack of opportunities that render us backward, undeveloped and without some dignity.

"By the time we succeed in balkanising this country into the ethnic and sectarian Bantustans that we envisage, how are we going to disarm the army of ethno-religious hatemongers that we created within our midst?

"Human diversity is humanity's greatest weakness and strength. Those who harness it prosper, those who squander it perish. The rise and fall of empires, civilizations and great nation-states is replete with such case studies.

"In short: there is a silent yet fierce struggle for the future of this country, and we are losing it for the simple reason of our own disunity and self-interest".
