I have been searching and cant find any. I think we just have to make up topics when the section is created. can U find any MC?? |

I know some other forums, mostly oyibo ones, have lots of paintings, photography etc, but I doubt naijas are really into that kind of thing much. Much of our modern art tends to be of the angry, dark, turbulent type, since peaceful tranquil scenes are regarded as wimpy, childish and weak. Or a colonial reminder. |

Whether graceful or violent, classical or modern it is still arts and different people have their preference moreso not everyone on NL is nigerian or nigerian breed and sayin naijas are not into arts is just your opinion i think arts/graphics are more relative than literature/arts |

~SeanT using "Search" w/ key words of forementioned suggested topics shud help! Because Art is so varied,it's likely there are topics already on different sections that will either be better off where they are or Under "Art"  ~BTW if anyone comes across topics that will be better suited in Art,Cud you please post a link? Ta. ~I found a few old topics on "Photography" in Graphics Section,a couple on "Museum" in Politics/Travel Section, None on Musical/Theatre. . .will search some more but i doubt we'll get 20 topics ~It's most likely topics will have to be created if an Art section is merged! |

Actually when I mentioned arts sections, I was having a section where works of art and literature can be exhibited, More like show what you got and let others appraise it. Well if they appraise it okay be careful though art work gets expensive , Any one that think serence paintings are wimpy whould then try looking at abstracts I have a simple non abstract painting and in different shades of light, you just see a different picture and the guy that did the work didnt even know about that , he came visiting once and was astounded, So show off what you got or a literature of bits of it, please reference original works of others and dont take the glory , it is stealing |
