FOLLOWING last Wednesday’s partial deregulation of the downstream sector of Petroleum industry by the Federal Government with an increase in pump price of petrol from N86.50 to N145, the organised labour and their civil society allies have resolved to lead Nigerian workers on strike after Wednesday, May 18. Saturday Vanguard gathered that labour leaders will send a letter to government latest tomorrow demanding a total reversal to the N86.50 pump price of petrol before 12 am on Wednesday, failing which all installations will be shut down thereafter. source: http://www.google.com.ng/url?q=http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/fuel-price-hike-labour-plans-nationwide-total-strike/&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwiErcmT9tjMAhVhOMAKHTnRDioQqQIIEygAMAE&sig2=rQl6NClNLHTLu0ccA05R_Q&usg=AFQjCNHv0Z0nuA-BAcW9jR_DEzBvMctKSQ |

Cockk and bull...another ploy to arm-twist the government for cash settlements, this was how old Oshiomole played his game and got all the loot he used to contest for his gubanatorial elections. Oga NLC chairman, please tell us about your political ambitions these coming years. 1 Like |

Waste of time Nigeria does not need subsidy. Rather govt shld increase minimum wage, then nnpc filling stations shld create a strong competition to drive down prices |

It amazed me that 6th world producing oil country can sale fuel at 145 Naira for their citizens . The only direct value we get from this so called government through paying for subsidy which indirectly affect citizens that buys fuel, that what they want to remove. Which social amenities that are the responsibility of government that the citizens are enjoying now ? |
