Considering the social impact of the increased PMS to #145/ litre, is the proposed NLC/TUC strike action the better option or they should aggressively push for commensurate pay raise? Your suggestion is objectively needed to know the path to follow!

Pay rise will benefit only NLC/TUC members majorly... But decrease in pms price will benefit all

Strike and pay rise is likely inevitable indeed.

That seems to be a better approach.
A close look at the government, they may not probably rescind their decision on this subsidy panorama!

From the communiqué issued, is like NLC is not on an aggressive mission on this matter. That was how we lost it in 2012 to #97 reversal with primitive palliative measures. With this drag-footing and shifting of dates to Wednesday, FG may win on both sides.
Hmm time shall tell.

It will be selfish for them to press for pay rise only, who will increase unemployed citizen/pensioners/Student/artisan's pay?

It was believed that dollar rise led to the price-peg of 145 naira when $ was 321. Now dollar is 370, that indicates that we may likely pay more too soon or black market will take over.

What the government can do is to invest on Dangote refinery as to speed up completion before schedule. Put the existing refineries to full production if the 'Avengers' would allow this.

If I were to be Kachukwu, I would try increase fuel price generally to 100 naira. Guaranteeing Nigerian that they can buy at control price with all NNPC filling stations while I look side way on what other sell theirs.

Thanks for your all inclusive points. Hoping the Union and Government reach a compromise in the interest of Nigerians.
