The majority of Nigerians are against fuel price increase.Since buhari and osinbajo get this commodity for free,Nigerians should also get it for free since God who put it there didn't charge us a dime.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DID NOT REMOVE SUBSIDY BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUBSIDY AT #86.5 PUMP PRICE OF FUEL

Fellow Nigerians be informed that the government did not remove any subsidy because there was no subsidy to be removed in the first place.
Seek information and be informed. The government has simply stopped giving foreign exchange to fuel importers and has asked them to source for foreign exchange through secondary sources. Why has the pump price of fuel increased from #86.5 to between #135 and #145? This is specifically as a result of the difference between the official exchange rate and the informal (parallel) market exchange rate. This is the simple mathematics.
The official exchange rate is #199 per dollar while the parallel market exchange rate is #320 per dollar. This represents and increase of 37% (320-199/320 × 100 = 37.8%). This reflected exactly in the new price of petrol as it increased from #86.5 to an average of #140 which is an increase of 38% (140 - 86.5/140 ×100 = 38%).
I encourage Nigerians to seek the right information, and not be misguided by people who do not wish the government and nation well.
The Federal government cannot continue to be the sole source of foreign exchange for the importation of fuel in the face of falling price of crude resulting in the depletion of our foreign reserve. It is unsustainable and cannot satisfy the domestic consumption of fuel in Nigeria. Nigeria gets foreign currency from the sale of crude and the price of crude has fallen by over 70% (In April we earned $550m from oil, but also need a staggering $225m to fund importation of fuel). Government realistically do not have enough dollars to give to fuel importers.
With the competition that will set in from the open market, it s expected that the pump price of fuel will naturally crash in time just as the telecom industry did.
If Buhari deregulates to save money for the nation, be 100% assured that such money will be used for the nation.

Mallam Shehu Garba abi uncle linus Mohammed??

So you know more than Sahara reporters, Ibe kachikwu, premium times and even Buhari himself.

and whose responsibility is it to manage the exchange rate? so if Bihari fail to put a strong economic team in place and fail to manage the exchange rate so that the value crash to #400 a dollar, the people must bear the brunt for that failure?

Nobody wants price increase
BUT WE HAVE TO HAVE IT TO MOVE FORWARD

The suffering we are going through is because
our brothers and sisters looted our common purse
and to bring back normalcy, some prices must be paid

kachikwu has nothing reasonable to tell the house. the deed has been done and the best the executive can do now is to consider putting some parliatives in place to cuision the effect of the hike in fuel price on nigerian.

While the federal government doesn't want to be the sole provider of foreign exchange in the country, then why does it peg the Naira at a delusional , mythical rate of N199 ?
Who are they subsidizing, and who are they fooling?

Secondly, why does the same government restrict the inflow of foreign exchange in the country by freezing my account each time I transfer foreign funds into my account until I am forced to explain the source of my funds?
Which other country in the world does that ?

Buhari is the architect of all the problems we currently face right now.

It should be remembered that first thing that Buhari did after inauguration was to declare a war against CAPITAL, the very same foreign exchange we now covet so much.

How can any same leader, in this era, fight against CAPITAL and win ?
