ABUJA - President Mohammadu Buhari is handicapped over the increase in the price of premium motor spirit, PMS, Vice President, Yemi Osinabjo has said. Seemingly rising in defence of the president amid the backlash of angry feelings among many Nigerians caused by the all-time drastic increase, Osinabjo said that though the president was opposed to the new price initially, he had no choice than to accept the change. According to him, the decision was necessary if the country must source for foreign exchange to import fuel. In any case, the Vice President said that even if the local refineries were resuscitated, the country would still need to import product as they would only run at 40 percent capacity. Osinbajo spoke Tuesday in Abuja at the public presentation of a book titled "Anatomy of Corruption in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges & Solutions, a collection of essays", edited by a renowned lawyer and Senior. Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Mr. Yusuf Ali. This is not the first time, the office of the Vice President would be exonerating the president from the hike. www.nmetblog.com/2016/05/pms-price-hike-buhari-is-handicapped.html?m=1 |

A man left government a year ago, his image still loom larger than life. Another came a year ago, everything he touched turned to dust! In the realm of hypothesis, many said we would have been worse! I ask, what can be worse than this? A government run by NEOPHYTES and APPRENTICES? No economic policies in place. Today, I am not convinced on devaluation. Next day, we will devalue to reflect present reality. Just before you think there is hope, you hear deregulation where government fixes prices of a commodity they can't provide. In another breath, oh, thank God we have removed subsidy on petroleum products. Just before you Erupt hope, the Vice president said we have not removed subsidy. They banned the operation of domiciliary accounts and just as you say mama, they reversed themselves with unpardonable collateral damage to commerce. Their broomstick must have swept their brains into the 'odo ogun'! Nigeria is no doubt an animal farm! Akanni Ola Balogun 3 Likes |

He will soon be “Leggicapped”, but by the time it will diversify all over his whole body i.e “Being Boddicapped”. Then, Nigeria & Nigerians will understand what doomed is all about.. 1 Like |
