Even if Tomatos cost N1m, we will buy it. We don't eat those shi.ts concotions you mentioned up there. Flat heads and abo.ki can eat anything. We eat Amala, ewedu and "omi-obe". Like if you're #ProudlyOmoYoruba!

I disagree with the "miyan kuka eaten with rice." Miyan kuka is usually eaten with tuwo or tuwo rice which is also swallow. But saying miyan kuka and rice? Its same as saying rice and ewedu.

Funny, garden eggs has been my alternative since tomatoes scarcity. You can also replace it with groundnut either fresh or fried one, egusi, onion. Carrot, gabbage,Cucumber is not bad just that it somehow watery..

Enjoy and put scarcity to ashame

They say necessity is the mother of invention. See how the scarcity of tomatoes has made us put on our thinking caps.

I'm guessing this is exactly how we Nigerians will be forced to "use our heads" to think ourselves out of our morass when crude oil dries up or we all will die like fools grin

Bravo OP

Re: 5 Nigerian Stews, Sauces You Can Make Without Tomatoes by SensaGreene: 8:49pm On May 21, 2016
So I just made stew using tatase, sombo. I took out all the seeds, 6bulbs of onions, 1 sachet roll of tomato paste and 2small, very small plates of tomatoes. Its so red and tastes awesome. It filled the pot I normally use for stew.
