Niger State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has commenced repatriation of foreigners among the religious fundamentalists.

http://odili.net/news/source/2009/aug/19/215.html

About 300 members of the group were at the Niger State headquarters of the Immigration Service boarding buses and trucks provided by government to convey them to their countries with their wives and children.

At the time THISDAY visited the Immigration office, those being repartraited were mainly Nigeriens who have no legal documents of stay, and illegally found their way into the country without any proof of proper documentation or source of livelihood.

After general screening of members of the sect at the Government Technical College camp in Mokwa, all foreigners in the sect were transferred to Minna, for re-interrogation and re-confirmation of their nationality, and to ascertain if they are legal immigrants.

As at 12 noon yesterday, a batch of illegal male foreigners who are members of the sect were loaded into two trucks with registration number IS 077HQ and IS 107HQ, belonging to the Immigration Service, while their wives and children were packed into two 18-seater buses with registration number NG 39-A28 and NG 26-A28.

THISDAY also discovered that a large group of members of the sect that were yet to be re-screened were still in offices and corridors of the Immigration office as at the time of going to press.Confirming the development, the state Immigration Deputy Comptroller, Mr. Ibrahim Danladi Auta, said all those found to have entered the country illegally are already being repatriated.

can you imagine these illegals whom we have given shelter and economic livelihood killing our own people? this is exactly the case of America, they open their arms to the whole world, these people even get education in the US and then they turn around to bomb and kill innocent citizens and tax payers. I think our immigration rules should be stricter, not every neighboring nation should be allowed uncontrolled access into our borders, bloody ingrates!

How is that different from boko haram except the type of killing?. you 419 somebody and his heart breaks making him to commit suicide.
Re: Nigerian Immigration Deports Boko Haram Members by Rebarobyn: 11:54pm On Aug 19, 2009
well its true, serious loss can lead to suicide but then you can't compare it with boko haram, these ones are outright killings, not that i support the illegal things some nigerians do out there anyway.

Nigeria has the funniest clowns ever running an African country. They don't have boarder protection, people walk in freely from niger and chad daily. You mean to tell me you sent them back knowing that they are going to just go back to recruit some more people and weapon to come back and do they same thing again. Nigeria should have locked them up 4 good and/ or better yet killed all of them one by one. These officials in nigeria are just jokes angry

I am pretty sure they'll be back. They'll even get back here faster than the vehicle with which they were deported.

Re: Nigerian Immigration Deports Boko Haram Members by sjeezy8: 11:42pm On Aug 20, 2009
Agree
Nigerians dont reason well they seem to not know how to seperate religion from politics. The curse of the African man he can't think without religion or tribe in order to better his country. Who knows Nigerias actual population minus all these immigrants. Most of them are fulani, taureg, hausa and are muslim but that shouldn't give them free pass to Nigeria. They are allowed in Nigeria by the north, elected to government and stay loyal to the northerners for allowing them to stay.
