i have an ASUS Zenfone Laser ZE550KL it supports ntel bands. worked fine with LTE on Lollipop firmware. when it received an update to Marshmallow, it stopped working with Ntel. wouldn't hold a signal. i have stumbled on a solution for that on this page: https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-116511-1-1.html it involves using fastboot to flash this modem file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5kaWlZcQC-TTnpYMVZ5VGdTaHM/view just thought i'd share in the slight chance anyone else has same issue. USUAL CAVEATS APPLY. O.Y.O i am not responsible for anything, neither do i have any solutions for you in the event of a screw up. all i know is, i'm on CM14 and i can now use my ntel sim inside my device. thats all Edit: should probably add that for some reason it works fine in sim 2 and not in sim 1. I have no idea why |

Is anyone using the vox HD app on a rooted device? I keep getting validation failure error and Ntel help line is not useful. I'm wondering if the app checks root status or something because I've done all recommended. Sim is in phone, APN is vox, LTE works fine..... |

4llerbuntu: You can root with magisk+ magisk supersu and use Auto Magisk. I don't know if automagisk will work with none magisk root.

pheesayor: Get the Alcatel Pop4 plus, it's 36-38k on konga and does 4G on all the GSM networks including Ntel. It only spectranet and Swift that it doesn't cover. Thank me later..... Cheers |

olamega: Always provide the full background/product information when you seek for help, so people can better decide whether they can or cannot help you or point you in the right direction. For instance, it would be better if you give the full model name of your MiFi. Good luck. P34c3 ........ ..... ... |

pheesayor: It's back up again but it's epileptic, up and down but functional. So go ahead and try it especially if the network is okay over u. I only get a maximum of 2bars here, most times i'm stuck on one. So don't let us scare you. |

i bought their mifi on friday. when i got home i got 4bars but download was @ 250kb/s max. but since saturday morning its been showing either no network or limited network. wtf mhen. Till now i have not been able to connect. i don write their customer care tire. they are lyin that my area and my modem is ok. bastards. have i not burnt 40k troway so? This is the worst experience i have had so far with any network. even zoom no bad like this. |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by Nobody: 10:12am On Nov 21, 2016 |
engineermick: you bought a mifi? the swift and spectranet mifis are the easiest to hack. all you need is the code. i'm sure you have an old spectranet or swift mifi lying around the desktop modems are the ones that are difficult, because apparently they require some hardware tweaking. i came this close to buying one of those, but the duplicity of the fellow selling turned me off and i went to pc village to buy a tplink modem. i almost bought the ntel desktop modem, which really and truly is a superior product , but i wasnt sure if it is locked. i live in festac, and once i have 4 bars i can get 1 - 2mbps this is their customer care line 0700 683 55483. no need to write multiple emails to ntel over the weekend. where do you live? |
Re: Subscriber Options for UNLIMITED Internet - WORTH IT? by pheesayor(m): 5:17pm On Nov 21, 2016 |
even if it is a router, it can be unlocked remotely except swift which I had to go to Ikeja to unlock on saturday for 4k. By the way oyb, I'm a festac breed and I still go there weekends oyb: |

AjanleKoko: i've taken it up with Ntel directly and even they are clueless on the matter so i've given that up. the app won't login on the phone no matter what, and they say the app is 'not compatible'. which is BS, but i don't have time to waste on irrelevant shit |
