a moth or rather tomatoes blight ravaged most of the crop in the country, 85% and no solution for now,not the government fault, but they are not doing well to communicate this to the populace it has really add to the cost of other items in the market,information management is zero in that aspect, if the govt had inform the people other items won't be that expensive.

Most Nigerian homes, N.B- not Nigerian students o, have always used fresh tomatoes to make stew, sauce, fry eggs etc.
There's that lovely taste it gives. Tin tomatoes- (we're talking of purees now and not plum) may be added if the bell pepper blended with the tomatoes is too much.

Anyway, I hope the prices of tomatoes come down soon. I learnt Dangote has just started a tomato puree company somewhere in the north and that's why fresh tomatoes are scarce, though I don't know how reliable the "sauce" of that news is.
