Responsibilities

Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly. Thoroughly and efficiently gather customer information, access and fulfill customer needs, educate the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contacts and document interactions through contact tracking. Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: billing, placing print orders, and system troubleshooting. Troubleshoot customer issues over the phone.
Use automated information systems to analyze the customer’s situation. Maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision making. Handles issues in the best interest of both customer and company. Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience. Responsible for compiling and generating reports as they relate to customer service surveys.

ACCOUNTING BACKGROUND

 Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
 Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assist in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
 Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.
 Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
 Assist to guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
 Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
 Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.
 Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
 Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
 Prepare or oversee the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses.
 Assist to manage financial activities of workers in branches, offices, and departments
 Assist to summarize and forecast on the state of the company's financial affairs.
 Assist to preside over budgets to set and meet goals.
 Assist to evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions.
 Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and disbursements.
 Involved in the strategic planning or the development of new products
 Assist to prepare financial reports for other groups, including stock holders, creditors, regulatory agencies, and tax authorities.

Requirements
Proven working experience of 1year + years as a customer service staff with accounting back ground or an accountant with customer service back ground
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software (Peachtree etc.) and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and must be internet savvy
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to direct and supervise
BS degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
Ican or any other further education will be an added advantage
