Massive Arrest Of Citizens As Police Raids An Area In Jos Plateau by mathewteghaBLOG(m): 11:00am On May 26, 2016
Reports has it that members of the plateau state police command raided the Angwan Rukuba area, a suburb in Jos, Plateau State picking up what they said were suspected residents who they believe have caused unrest and have been responsible for various crimes carried out within the said area.

The raid took place on Saturday 21st May, 2016 at noon, it was sudden and unexpected as Police men joined by members of the vigilantee who were alleged to have held knives clamped down on unsuspecting citizens and picked up any one available with most of the Indian Hemp pedlers and gang members as major target.
An unconfirmed report places the number of those arrested as over a hundred (100)people.
MatthewteghaBlog correspondent speaking to an eye witness said; the police came with about four police vans for the first raid and later came back after an hour with same number of vans to pick more people, Among those carried were both men and women, with a woman who was said to just come out of her house to buy drugs for her baby that was also carried away. This raid by the police is said to be a reprisal on the residents around Angwan Rukuba as it will be recalled that there was a clash between the youths and police on Sunday 13th March in which a Police Station Was Completely Raised Down by Angry Youths In Jos(READ).
As at the time of filling this report those arrested were on Tuesday 24th May taken to the Magistrate Court by Murtala Mohamed way Jos, with the judge insisting that they be granted bail only if they provided papers of their landed properties.

More than 100. It wasn't a one day arrest and it wasn't a one location thing..
Innocent people that tested negative to substances bailed themselves with 10,000 naira.
We heard they pay revenue to government.
